It was my first time viewing a volcano and wow what an experience. There was an eruption just 2 weeks prior to our trip but it looked regal and majestic even when it was calm just spewing some smoke. It's a must visit if you have never seen a volcano.

It is a must see. Take a tour up to see the volcano's. Learn the history of the country side. There are many unique birds and other wild life that can be seen, Make sure you stop and grab a cup of coffee that is famous in this region.

We try to get up to Comala at least once a year in the winter. The views of the volcano are amazing, the road has been updated and much easier to travel on. Stop along the way, and visit the coffee plantations, and some great restaurants. Most English speaking. Stop in Comala and just sit in the square and people... More

We went on road trip from Guadalajara to Colima, but instead taking diversion from Ciudad Guzman into highway 429 to main entrance, we took route to small village called Tonila which is on the way to Manzanillo. The road will end after few kilometers from Tonila, and you can hike through private farms to get better view of Volcano -... More

If you're visiting Colima to view the volcano's, be sure you are there at a time when the farmers are not burning their fields. The smog from the burning make it impossible to view the volcano's

This is a unique active volcano that frequently smokes ! And is next to an other that sometimes has snow, so you can see a snowed inactive volcano next to an other one that smokes!! Unbelievable!! I haven't see in any other part of the word something like this! Definitely a place to visit! Wow!!

You don't need to go any closer than to the edge of the city. The vulcano looms over colima. It photographs well because its shape is veey conical.
