About
At family owned and run Bremerton you’ll experience the real Langhorne Creek. Our newly expanded tasting room and cellar door is based around a restored 1866 stone barn with our new tasting area, large verandah and sprawling lawns, all set amongst the vines. You can taste your way through our premium wines, or if you prefer, select from one of our seated wine or gin flights. It is the perfect place to sit back and relax with our regionally inspired luncheon menu including a variety of platters, tasty gourmet pizzas and desserts. You can soak up the atmosphere of the old barn, dine alfresco on our back verandah, or kick back on the lawns with picnic rugs and lawn games. Art lovers can enjoy exhibitions on the mezzanine level, as well as David Dridan’s famous ‘Barrel Ends’ Collection in our dining room. Our cellar door also offers an extensive providore selection of locally made gourmet products for tasting and purchase or you can make your own platter and enjoy on the lawns.

Looks better, looks good but appearances are deceiving.

We had been quite some time ago and it was excellent so we decided on a bright sunny day to head over for lunch. First impressions were good, an excellent relatively new carpark, new welcoming entrance and tasting room and excellent toilets. From then on it was extremely disappointing. We had made a booking and waited at the bar for service. While we were approached by three different staff who asked whether or not we needed attention, each of them said they were busy and would get back to us. 15 minutes later they did! It then required some time for them to find the booking and arrange for us to be seated. The place was not packed and didn't seem busy so we assumed that they were short staffed.
We perused the menu and decided on pizzas which had been excellent on our previous visit. Ordering at the bar required another significant wait and then some repeated explanation of our simple order (2 pizzas, 1 gluten free plus a couple of drinks).
The drinks arrived after another significant delay and then the food was served shortly after. The pizzas were ordinary at best. The Margarita is a straightforward pizza but the items in the topping were hard to identify and it was burnt in part. The gluten free Mediterranean pizza was even worse. The base was almost impossible to cut with a knife and fork and once again sections of it were charred black and the toppings hard to identify. We did eat most of them being hungry but when I paid the bill and was asked how our meal was I replied, "Disappointing.' Asked to clarify I did so and the waitress said she'd pass it on. There was no mention of a reduction in price, an offer of coffee or any effort to make good this disappointing experience.
The three or four staff with whom we had contact all seems to be going through the motions rather than being invested in the business. Culturally and culinary, Bremerton's has gone backwards since our last visit.

Please accept my sincere apologies for your disappointing visit. We pride ourselves on offering an exceptional cellar door experience and obviously this time we were unable to do so. I will offer no excuses and hope that if you ever do return to Langhorne Creek you can give us another chance to show you a wonderful experience.

Disappointed and Underwhelmed
Aug. 2021
We had booked a table for lunch some days before viewing the current SALA exhibition. The online menu indicated Beef in Red Wine - just the job for a cold and wet day and we were looking forward to that. Unfortunately, when we arrived, the owner said that the hot meal of beef in red wine pie was not on due to the fact that we had just been in lockdown. (Funny that - so had we!) Actually, lockdown had finished some 6 days prior. As this table had been booked the week before, I might have thought that the person answering our booking could have said at the time of booking that they were on a "limited" menu thus giving us a choice of - well - just about everything including whether we even turned up ! Disappointed that on a cold and wet day a really good hot meal of a beef/wine pie was not on the menu as both of us were looking forward to someone else doing the cooking and washing up ! Disappointed also that this winery, despite having a SALA exhibition currently running, could not perform up to expectations as indicated by their menu online. No, we did not want a ploughmans or pizza. Sorry - but we won't be returning. The SALA watercolour exhibition by Denis Noble was excellent.

Apologies for the fact we did not have our pies available for your visit, however I don't believe our menu was that limited as everything else on the menu was still available. Once you had expressed your disappointment, our staff did try to assist by recommending some other local venues that may have had food more suited to your requirements. Lockdown may well have finished 6 days prior, however, we were only able to cater for an extremely limited number of people as the 1 per 4m social distancing requirements were still in place. As soon as the restrictions eased slightly and we were able to receive food deliveries, we were able to start making our delicious pies available again. Denis' exhibitions are always fabulous. So pleased you enjoyed it. Cheers!

Thank you to the lovely staff at Bremerton Winery. My mother and I had an amazing lunch time with you guys. Well done on all your efforts, it doesn’t go unnoticed. The food was gorgeous, the wine was absolutely delicious and the staff put the icing on the cake
Will definitely return soon, as you’re our local winery . We are so lucky to live in a fantastic part of Australia and to have such lovely wineries on our doorstep

lunch in the vines
Apr. 2021
Arrived about 11.30am, decided on early lunch. Staff very helpful, we opted for the tasting plate. Local smallgoods, cheeses etc, it was really tasty, and encouraged us to purchase from the dairy bar, and also some of the other pickles etc. Of course we enjoyed the wine as well. Had to call in on our return and replenish the goodies we had already eaten. Artworks on display were added attraction, Beautiful setting, top marks.

What a surprise! We have been here on numerous occasions, but the transformation of Bremerton Cellar Door is devine. The staff are friendly and knowledgeable. Wines are great. After tasting we had lunch. Chorizo and Olives with herb and salted bread, and the best platter in Langhorne Creek......hands down. Make a booking you will not be disappointed. Keep up the great work.

It was a long drive to get here but well worth the effort. A wine region with a difference. Loved it.

We were made to feel very welcome by the staff. Lady who looked after us certainly knew about the wines.
The environment is lovely, very well set out. They also sell a range of gourmet foods that I found irresistible.

We were recommended this place as a perfect stop for tasting and lunch. So glad we did. It is a family run winery doing wonderful things. Lunch for us was the Ploughman’s Platter, which went really well with a glass of their Malbec. They do Malbec really well down here.
Thanks to Chris for her hospitality and knowledge and it was great to see co-owner Lucy (the wine maker of the family) assisting with tasting and spreading her insights into the region and her wines.
