Lovely walk along the river. Plenty wildlife, clear fast moving water and informative notices all along the walk. A beautiful picturesque thatched cottage and all this just minutes from the town centre. A real must when in Arlesford.

This is a very nice walk at the back of the town, only downside is the width of the path can be a problem, the gravel path can get muddy.

We had a coffee is Alresford and then wandered down to the trail. What a lovely walk. The water is clear and fast moving. There is a picturesque thatched cottage and lots of wildlife to see. We continued along and stopped at the park. There's...More

Fine little stroll by a rapid river Informative notices point to the interesting wild life and water mills and the path ways would allow access for folks in wheel chairs making this an experience everyone can enjoy

This is a lovely trail to walk. Outstanding beauty love the ducks, Swans and the fish in the river. A must see is The Fulling Mill and the Eel House Building. Also you can see the Watercress Beds and can buy some watercress enroute.

The trail is next to the river and goes on for a few miles. Along the trail, there is a beautiful old cottage situated above and over the river and further down, there is an original eel trap. All landmarks have boards that describe the...More

Spent a couple of hours exploring the town and walking past the various old mills along the Alre Valley. The circuit was about 6 km and took us a couple of hours!

Easily accessed from the bottom end of broad street follow the gravelled riverside path surrounded by unspoilt Hampshire countryside past The Ancient Fulling Mill where the clear waters run underneath and on to The Eel House. Plenty of seats around for a picnic.
