Sunshine Village sits high on the Continental Divide in the heart of Banff National Park, and is just minutes from the mountain town of Banff. Three sprawling mountains provide breathtaking sitelines, uninterrupted by any signs of civilization beyond the resort's leasehold. Ski or ride in Alberta and British Columbia in one run. Sunshine Village's seven-month season stretches from early November until late May - the longest non-glacial season in Canada. The Village's altitude of 7,082 feet ensures the snow stays dry. Sunshine can receive up to nine metres (30 feet) of snow in a season, and it stays all year.

Words can't describe the views you get here from the viewing platforms at the top of the chairlift or indeed the walk around the 3 lakes. $42 per adult for a gondola ride up to a chairlift and in to the top where incredibly there...More

Sunshine Village ski resort is amazing and offers something for every age and ability. Having been skiing in Europe etc I will always come back here. Lots of runs with differing degrees of difficulty and even on a busy day there is lots of room....More

Spent 2 nights there, the staff were incredible: fantastic service & always friendly, the room was amazing: so spacious, clean & comfortable. The skiing was awesome & the views breathtaking. This place is a must see you would not be disappointed!!

It really depends on the weather too and what time of year you are heading up there. But yes well worth the hike, stunning scenery! And yes, wear comfortable hiking shoes.

You definitely want to rent a car, the road is totally fine, just very deserted at night. My sister and I had an SUV and got around with no problems. I wouldn't recommend taking shuttles to the mountains as it's a 30- 45 min... More
