We drove from Lake Louise to Columbia Icefield Discovery Center. The drive itself is absolutely gorgeous, I can only imagine how wonderful it is in the winter time or in the fall with all the colours. We stopped along the way in a couple of...More

WE went for the skywalk with Brewster, and we did enjoy it. They give you a thing that lets you listen as you walk to the actual skywalk, so its a nice interpretive walk. Its pretty cool to be able to stand up there and...More

We booked on the Rocky Mountaineer and the leg of the trip between Jasper and Banff was provided by Brewster Bus Lines. The trip is absolutely amazing along the Icefield parkway or Highway 93. There is no National Parks pass required. Many opportunities for pictures.

This is something you must do, walk on the Athabasca Glacier! This glacier is just 200 years old and unfortunately will no longer be around in thirty years time or so as it's slowly melting just as the Victoria Glacier became Lake Louise. The only...More

This was not the scenic drive through Escalante in Utah, but pretty just the same. The mountains are varied and there's lots to see, if you can get your hubby to stop at the overlooks! Or at least slow down! We were going to do...More

No, not to get to the Icefields visitors center or the walking/hiking paths. As for seeing the icefields themselves, I believe you have to take a bus and can't do it yourself. But I would check with the park people to... More
