This was my second time hiking up Sulphur Mountain. Last year the Kootenay wildfires unfortunately impacted my view at the top. It was amazing but smoky so I didn't get the full experience of the panoramic views of Banff. This year I was lucky to...More

We took our grandson in the gondola and then we all walked right to the top of Sulphur Mountain. Such lovely views from there. Found it a bit pricey to go up though, but since we had bought our tickets before 10 a.m., our grandson...More

Sulphur Mountain is home to the Banff Gondola and offers spectacular views off the town of Banff and the the surrounding peaks. Definitely a spot not to miss on your trip to Banff!

We took the gondola up to the top and we're glad we did. The views were outstanding, even though smoke from the wildfires in BC made it very hazy. The decks and stairs on top of the mountain are well made and have plenty of...More

We didn’t realize just how long of a hike it was when we started our adventure on the trail. Myself + 2 male friends all in good shape took just under 2 hours to reach the top, and we were keeping a good pace. There...More

Cool hike but it is upward all the way. Well, what can you expect since you're hiking below the gondola? We took this trail up, expecting to take the gondola down but - if you can make it up. you can make it down. Be...More

My parents (mid 50s), my partner and I (late 20s) did the Mt Sulpher hike which was great. The trail was clearly signed, and the view was fantastic. Upon getting to the top the weather turned and there was significant hail. For safety reasons we...More

Absolutely, you can buy one way down no problem. Can't remember the cost and take about 9 minutes with an option of a picture purchase, or essential and no hassle. Enjoy
