I made a reservation with Mr Anders, where he demanded to pay in cash to avoid the credit card fees. My big mistake. He simply called me on the day before my reservation saying it was canceled, without any reason or explanation. It was a desaster for my kids and I had no alternative to substitute it. Anders took two friends and me fishing on the last day of the season in 2019. It was a great experience! We had all fished before but were rusty - Anders showed us how to set our lines and set hooks. We each caught at least one fish and boating on the lake was beautiful. Highly recommend to anyone who wants to fish at Lake Minnewanka!…

Unfortunately, did not catch any fish. On the other hand, our guide Crawford was a knowledgeable fisherman and knew a great deal about Lake Minnewanka. Fishing that day with Crawford is definitely one we had to use as a learning experience as we lost a fish that was giving us trouble, "one that got away."…

We went fishing with John as our guide and I can’t say enough about our experience! It was incredible! John was so informative and patient and went above and beyond to help us catch fish and experience the full effect of Lake Minnewanka! I would recommend John and Banff Fishing Unlimited to anyone!…

We had a great time fishing Lake Minnewanka on August 13, 2018. We had John as our captain and he was very helpful, full of jokes, and very knowledgeable about the lake and fisheries. We tried for Lake Trout for a while without much luck, but then went shallower and John was able to put us on a Rocky Mountain whitefish hole and we caught over a dozen of those. Saw a large lake trout try and snag a small Rocky off my line while reeling in, so they are definitely down there! We will 100% be back fishing the next time we travel to Banff (which will be very soon.)…
