Banff is absolutely lovely, it’s meant to be the oldest national park in Canada and it’s absolutely gorgeous.

As per others then rent a car. We picked a car up in Vancouver and dropped off at Calgary with stays in Banff and other places in the way. No one way rental fee and we used Avis. Awesome scenery. Enjoy!
