Beautiful spot. Red sand, there is a public washroom on site with sinks. You can walk down on the beach, and at low tide, you can walk way, way out across the sandbars and into where the water usually is during high tide. The water is warm and shallow during low tide, with bits of sand, and then little sections of ankle deep water. Lots of neat sealife here like snails, clams, and shells.

We brought four children exploring this beach at low tide. They could walk along the ocean floor and found so many little treasures. They found crabs, clams, and even a starfish. The sand was beautiful and the lighthouse in the background made for some great pictures. I recommend bringing water shoes because they were nervous of stepping on something in the patches of seaweed. A bucket for shells would also be handy.

South shore, warm beaches, shallow water, playground, showers. I used to take my kids and now I take the pup. Lots of room for a good long walk and never very crowded.

There's more to this place than the beach but if you go there for swimming be ready for a muddy stay because there is no sand, just dirt and mud. A low tide it's good for clamming but there are way nicer beaches for swimming if you're willing to drive the half hour to get to them.

The beach was pretty rocky, but had the red sand everyone loves to see! We went there in search of sea glass and found some small pieces. It's an amazing spot to watch the sunset and take in the ocean breeze.

Great spot to go, not far from town. Nice well kept beach, but it can be windy by times. Clean washrooms/showers. Parking can be far from beach sometimes, but nothing serious. Low tide lets you explore far from the shore.

Park is always busy, but a great spot for families with kids and/or pets. Always seems to be someone there playing sports.
