My wife and I had a wonderful experience on our visit to the Canadian Rockies with a visit to Lake Louise and Moraine Lake and an 8k hike to Consolation Lakes. Our guide, May, was very knowledgeable and accommodating, even providing us with hiking poles to allow us all to navigate a rocky section of the trail. The small group (6 of us) allowed for everyone to ask questions and experience a more intimate experience. But the best were the views!

Best guiding company in the Rockies. Dennis is amazing to work with and the guides are exceptional - Christie & Mary are amazing as well as the others we had on our program. Highly recommend if you are looking for a guided hike in the Banff/Lake Louise Area.

We booked the eBike tour and hike to Johnson Canyon. The eBikes were fun and made the ride easy. Scott was our friendly and informative guide and he made sure we had a great time.
You bike from Banff to Johnson Canyon and then hike up to the first set of falls in the Canyon. A shuttle brings you back to their shop in Banff.
We made frequent stops at overlooks along the way and at one picnic area for a potty stop. We did have a bit of excitement on our trip as we had to detour to the 'high' road when a large black bear was making his way up the 'low' road towards us. Scott stopped and let us all see the bear and then hurried us along so the bear could continue on his way and not have to detour around us. He showed his respect for wildlife. I'm sure this doesn't happen all the time but it made for a great memory for us!
A fun time and even though you are on eBikes you actually do get some exercise. These aren't throttle bikes but rather pedal assist bikes. Still pretty easy though and I recommend trying out one of their trips.

Sounds like you had the best possible outcome on your tour, where you were able to enjoy watching your bear from a safe distance before carrying on. Though it is not uncommon to see a bear on this program, it does not happen every time. With the parkway closed to vehicles each June and September, the disturbance to wildlife does seem to be reduced, with more sightings when out on the ebikes as a result.

Thank you very much for your review. The bear sightings along the Bow Valley Parkway seem to have become more frequent since Parks Canada closed that stretch of road to car traffic in September.
Please do reach out to us the next time you are out this way. We would love to explore other corners of the park by ebike with you!

This was an amazing tour. I loved the combination of a hike and bike. Johnston Canyon was beautiful as well as the scenery on the bike ride portion. We stopped a few times on each for photos. Guides were great and equipment was good as well. I highly recommend this tour.

We went on this amazing tour today... What breathtaking sites we saw at both lakes. Owen was the perfect guide. The friendly, knowledgeable and went the extra mile to make sure both my husband and myself were take care of throughout the whole experience, which included an 8km hike on a beautiful trail. The weather was not as good as we had hoped but Owen had rain poncho, gloves and even walking poles. Totally prepared for it all. The snacks and sandwich lunch provided were great! Would do another tour again! Thanks for the experience.

This was our family's first e-bike experience and we all loved it! Scott was our guide. He gave clear, easy to understand instructions on operating the bikes and allowed us time to get comfortable riding before heading out to the Bow River Parkway. The ride to Johnston Canyon was amazing. We rode along the Vermillion Lakes and the parkway was filled with beautiful mountain views. Scott stopped at several scenic spots and shared lots of interesting history and facts about the area. Upon arriving at Johnston Canyon, he efficiently loaded our bikes on to the shuttle bus and then navigated us through the crowds walking up to the falls. The walk and the lower falls were both beautiful and Scott enhanced the trip with interesting facts about what we were seeing. It was very crowded but Scott was patient with everyone. We enjoyed the E-bike ride portion of the trip the most. It was a fun way to get to Johnston Canyon.

Johnston Canyon is Banff's most popular short day hike, given it's incredible beauty, ease of access and wide/easy trail.
I recommend our Sundance Canyon ebike & hike program for your next trip to Banff. This program includes a guided ebike tour along the Bow River to reach a secluded canyon far from the crowds of Banff. As it is only accessible by bike/on foot we see very few people along the way.

This full day of hiking was absolutely perfect because of our guide Pablo. He was so knowledgeable of the area and clearly skilled in leading these tours. It made all the difference. I would encourage anyone to use this company , and Pablo.

My family and I took this tour and we loved it. We saw some beautiful views, and Denise our guide, was very nice and gave us some very interesting facts during the tour and the hike.
We all were beginners and never used an e-bike, he patiently taught us and we really enjoyed the ride!
