We went to church on a Saturday evening, and appreciate the mass being later. It was a nice service, and is a pretty building.

Totally different than in Europe that a catholic church usually very big with high tower and fully interior. This church is small, low and very simple but it is not less beautiful and serene. Beautiful location, the mountain in the background.

We attended Mass at St Mary's in October 2019. We used Waze to find the church which was easy. Parking is adequate and the Mass was very good. I believe the Paster's name was Father Don. He is a very good speaker and the church is very clean and attractive. The service was contemplative and relaxing. The Homily was too the point and inspirational. Thank you for a beautiful Mass, Father.

One of the first things that my husband and I sought in Banff was a Catholic church. We were directed to St. Mary's of the Assumption, the only Catholic church in downtown Banff. This church is beautiful with the picture of the Holy Spirit hovering over the altar and other statues of saints. We requested to have the Sacrament of Reconciliation from the parish priest, who readily administered it to us. We also had the opportunity to participate in the evening Mass of the day. The parish priest is like a loving father to the community. We received lots of graces for being in this church. May God bless the parish priest and the community.

My wife and I were visiting from Australia and attended Mass here. We spoke to the Parish Priest prior to mass who welcomed us to the church. At the start of Mass he asked where people had come from. Most were from various parts of America and Canada, us Aussies and a couple from Germany. The atmosphere was friendly, the sermon memorable and a very satisfying and reflective mass. The history of the church and stained glass windows are also of interest to visitors.

Thrilled to wander across St Mary’s, we attended early on Sunday and I was able to have confession. Mass began at 0900 and confession began at 0815. It was a sell-out! The church was packed. We enjoyed the priest and his homily. They allow little children to attend the beginning of mass with the congregation then go off with Sunday school teachers. We enjoyed our morning at St. Mary’s!

A true treasure nestled under the mountains in Banff - went to a service there and not positive if open at other times but the inside is full of history and beauty.

You could feel that tourists are part of the life of the parish, and their welcoming heart made the mass to feel the we are really one body in Christ

Loved this little church and enjoyed several visits because it exuded a warm welcome and provided a sense of peace, comfort and tranquility. It was always open during the weekdays when I visited, a rare thing these days.
It gave an impression of a caring, inclusive community because of the ease of access and availability of religious items to purchase, beautiful and well priced. Affordable little prayer books for children, Holy Water, Religious candles as well as rosaries, statues and similar. Beautifully decorated devotional altars with votive candles to buy and light to put out for prayer. Always very reassuring and comforting. The many stained glass windows in the church are beautiful and impressive. It was fitting the architecture of the church is in the mountain rustic stone and wood style, whilst unusual in a church, it works there in Banff and it is a very beautiful church. When I encountered anyone from the church, they too were suitably lovely people.

This small church on Squirrel Street, set against a backdrop of unbelieveably beautiful mountains, is rustic on the outside, and classically beautiful with many stained glass windows and carved statues on the interior. Friendly congregation and wonderful priest. An eccentric note: All the stained glass windows have references to the Banff area. For example, Mary, sitting with Baby Jesus, has a ski pole. In the creche stained glass, there are elk, etc. Charming and quirky.
