It's right near the highway off Banff town exit. It's really accessible and worth checking out because of that. Some like it and others don't think it's anything. I thought it was nice - peaceful and could see reflection of mountains off the lakes.

Very peaceful setting where we saw lots of wildlife! Popular spot for photographers trying to capture the perfect sunrise/sunset photo. Great place to ride a bike as well. It has several viewing areas along the sides if the lake.

This was something extra we paid for and it was worth it as we got to see a large Grizzly on side of road

A popular route for cars, cyclists and walkers so you should go slow to enjoy the great views along the way - both coming and going.

Ok it's just a short drive, or bike ride and it's a dead end, but the views were very nice indeed and filled in about half an hour for us. Nothing special, just nice.

Are there outfitters near here who rent kayaks? We are looking to do a few hours of kayaking. Thanks for your review.

Yes, You can have dinner at the restaurant in the Juniper Hotel. It is situated on the lower slopes of Mount Norquay and the dinning room has an excellent view of Vermillion Lakes.
