All the amenities of a modern facility are featured in this splendid, historic spa and bath house—against a backdrop of spectacular alpine scenery. You will luxuriate in the comfort of soothing hot water where travelers have come to “take the waters” for more than a century. Banff’s premier attraction features: a day spa, outdoor terrace, Wonder of water hydrology exhibit and historic swimsuits (1920's) for rent. Can't go to Banff without doing the hot springs. If you don't have your gear with you, you can rent pretty much anything you need on-site for a reasonable fee. Water source can change throughout the year from fully spring water, to municipal water / spring water mix, to fully municipal water. See the hot springs website to figure out... More

Make it top of your list to visit the Banff Upper Hot Springs in the Canadian Rockies. If your here to enjoy the winter sports, or the breathtaking scenery don't miss out on this experience. Sitting in the gloriously warm waters, within the snow capped mountains. It is the most relaxing feeling. Great hours of operation, family or couples, and... More

White, frozen hair and eyelashes from the steam...a great experience in the cold of winter (it was -25 plus windchill during our visit). A little chilly going in and getting out but worth it! We visited later in the evening so it wasn't really busy and there were no kids around; just people relaxing and having fun forming their wet/frozen... More

This would have been my 4th time soaking in the hot springs however, the pool was stuffed like a can of sardines so we left without going in. Being a Parks Canada attraction I strongly feel its time for them to expand the size. No reason there could not be 3 pools the size of the current facility or a... More

The lines were incredibly long and the hot springs just looked like a big heated pool. We didn't actually get to get in because the wait was so long. The view is pretty but the view from our hot tub at the hotel was just as good without the wait. The pool was also pretty full.

I've been here three times, and it's always been great. It's incredible sitting in the pool while it's snowing outside. A must visit while in Banff.

we have been to the Banff hot springs on two separate occasions, about 10 years apart. The hot springs is a wonderful setting in the mountain and on one of our visits it was snowing; how incredibly Canadian. However be prepared as last weekend, holiday weekend Sunday, the facility was very overcrowded for parking and a long lineup to get... More

It is worth your money (7.5$ plus 2$ for towel 1$ for locker $2 for swimsuit) if you do not have outdoor hot tub at your hotel. Or you can go as a cultural experience. Otherwise it is an outdoor hot tub size of a pool with a spectacular view. Disappointing was wet and cold floor in the lockers.

We got there mid morning, thinking it would be quieter than apres ski time, it was still busy! Nice relaxing in the hot springs, less smelly than we remember from previous years. Our 5 year old enjoyed getting hot/cold.
