We had Jitka as our guide and she was absolutely amazing. My best friend and I booked the Heart Creek canyon tour even though she was afraid of heights. Jitka made my friend feel comfortable, supported and safe throughout the entire experience and we were proud of ourselves after rappelling down the 60 foot waterfall. We ended up in a larger group of 8 and by the end of the 5 hours we had all bonded and formed friendships, exchanging contact information and photos. This was one of the best days on my week long trip to Calgary and is a must do experience!

We had the most incredible day doing the Ghost Canyon!! Marc our guide was brilliant - fun, energetic and very knowledgable.

We’re on our honeymoon and this has been one of our greatest highlights of the trip! The experience is filled with fun slides, rappels, jumps and amazing scenery!! The only advice we can give is to not miss out on doing this as it’s a day where you’ll create some amazing memories!

Dangerous and awful experience.
We were booked onto the Ghost Canyon full day tour today. Marc Niehaus, the owner and our guide flipped the tour vehicle on route to the start location.
Marc started the day by being late and clearly very distracted… driving whilst on his phone etc when upon turning onto the track to get to the start location began driving on the wrong side of the road and after about 1km flipped the vehicle. There were 6 of us on the tour all involved in the incident in which was caused by Marcs total disregard for his groups safety. Marc drove so close to the roads edge (on the wrong side of the road) that the vehicle toppled and rolled off the road with us onboard. Fire, EMS and RCMP responded to the single vehicle incident after a tour member called 911 (Marc didn't bother to contact authorities… just his mates to get his vehicle recovered). Marcs total disregard and care for our safety after paying for what was meant to be a great day was disgusting and as the companies owner was an absolute shambles… Marc could not even get us a lift out of the area, we had to get friends to pick us up otherwise we would have been stranded. This whole experience was very avoidable and could have ended with serious injury or worse due to Marcs inability to take basic measures of care. He couldn't even drive the vehicle to the location, who knows what would have happened when actually canyoning.

Canyoning is a very popular activity in some places of this world, but not in Canada, yet; however, there is so much potential for it. As we were spending two weeks in the rockies, we thought it would a great idea and start searching for it. We have been very lucky to find Mark and his team - most of us were complete rookies - and we had a really great trip with him. It's super professional, yet fun-oriented, we have discovered places we would never have access otherwise, and it's a great alternatives to the hikes in the Kananaskis region. We seriously recommend it to anyone looking for a cool outdoor activity, and you really can't go wrong with them!

Our group of 7 friends went on a late season trip that MarC and team graciously accommodated a week after their normal mid-September cutoff date. Our group has traveled all over the world together and partaken in numerous hikes, rides, and adventures--and Ghost Canyon with MarC has been one of the top, if not top event we've done. A day long adventure, the hike up and then down the canyon is filled with spectacular views and new challenges around every corner. Most of our group had very little to no rappelling experience, but with MarC's guidance we were able to tackle all drops with ease while learning a little bit about ourselves in the process. Of all the other things to do in the Canmore / Banff area, I can't recommend this one enough (we also went helisight seeing, atv riding, hiking, etc).

We did the day trip Canyoneering the Ghost with Mark as our guide. What a fantastic day! After climbing for about 45 minutes we arrived at the top of the canyon and put on our wetsuits and repel gear. We did a short review of rappelling and then we were off sliding down slides, jumping into pools and rappelling down cliffs. It was a beautiful canyon and we were warm in the wetsuits provided including neoprene socks which were fantastic. I cannot say enough about what a great adventure this was! We will be doing it again!

this tour was definitely the highlight of our banff trip. Our guide jitka has a great personality. She is very friendly and knowledgeable and we felt very safe. This hike was great and challenging. You will explore the exclusive part of the trail and it was very quiet and peaceful. Rapping was so much fun. We will recommend families, couples, friends should spend a day rapping the Canadian Rockies

This was brilliant fun for my partner and I. With 3 other travellers, plus our guide Kanishk, we had an exciting half day exploring the canyon, learning about the area, and learning how to repel.

Kanishk was an excellent guide. He kept the energy levels up, made us feel safe and secure while on the ropes, and made the day feel like an adventure.

Some notes for those wondering what to pack/bring:

The hike up:
- You’ll meet in the car park and be assigned you wetsuits, harness and helmet. These will go in a big dry bag that you’ll carry up the mountain.

- We hiked up in shorts and shirts, with bathing suits already on underneath.

- You’ll be given wetsuit socks to wear in your shoes for the hike up.

- YOUR SHOES WILL BE SOAKED. Whatever shoes you are hiking in are what you’ll use for the whole day. So make sure you’re happy that they can get completely wet and have some grip.

At the top:
- You’ll change into your wetsuit, and the clothes you hiked up on will go into the dry-bags to be taken back down as you go.

Food/water:
- Bring water in a bottle.

- Food is probably best kept to granola bars or similar. Anything you put into the dry bag will get squashed, so fruit might not last long.

Once you’re finished in the water:

- You’ll hike back down in your wetsuits, but you may take off the jacket.

- You’ll get changed back at the meeting point in the car park.
