Awesome tour I can’t recommend highly enough

Had a fantastic afternoon on this tour with our awesome guide Mitch. Learnt so much along the way about all the locations and wildlife habits. Mitch took us to some of the most breathtaking views. I was blown away by Lake Minnewanka especially and he told me all about the ice and how it forms (being a Brit, I’ve never seen frozen lakes) and how the lake provides both power and water for the area. Truly fascinating to learn how in the Rockies, the balance between nature and humans has been so carefully considered to protect the area and its animals.
Such an awesome tour I can’t recommend highly enough. Thanks Mitch

My kids and I thoroughly enjoyed this tour. Just the right amount of time at each stop. Mitch,our tour guide was excellent,10 out of 10 for him. A 10 out of 10 tour all round.

this excursion was really interesting and fun! our guide offered us many activities to give us the choice afterwards. we also learned a lot about various interesting topics that we never would have known without him. I highly recommend!

Everything you could want and more

I did this wildlife tour last winter with a friend and was lucky to have Dale as our guide. He was the best and took us to some well known animal spotting places around Banff as well as some personal favourites of his. We saw a handful of elk, some deer and a bighorned sheep. I would love to do this again in summer to try spot some bears. The views were great too! Thanks Radventures.

The best way to see the ice bubbles!

I did this ice bubbles tour as well as the wildlife tour last winter over two days with Radventures. Dale was a fantastic guide for both tours and took us to the best places plus a few extra secret spots that aren't well known. On this tour Dale took us to the best spot to see the ice bubbles, there was no one else around. It was amazing! Thanks Dale & Radventures

Don’t rely on online booking

Booked this tour through TripAdvisor and paid for it in full. Tour was due on Sunday 9 October at 4:30pm. Got notification on the morning of 9 October that the tour was cancelled. I rang the tour company and was told that the tour was never scheduled to run on that day. The 3rd party company that makes online bookings was not in Sync with the actual tour schedule. We were so disappointed as the tour was running on the following days but was fully booked so we missed out. My advice is if you book this tour do ring the tour company to confirm.

Worst tour I've ever had misfortune of paying for.

We booked this through TripAdvisor. We were contacted the day before, asking if we could meet at a hostel 1.5 hours away, instead of getting picked up at our hotel. Ultimately, we weren't able to do this, the hotel said an Uber wouldn't be a good option for this. A car rental wasn't an option either with us only finding this out the night we arrived & rental car places not even open until after the meeting time.

The tour company did text us the morning of, saying we could request a refund

Hi Rachel, As we are based in Banff, we do not provide transportation from Calgary to Banff (1.5 hours, 130km one way) for this tour, and admittedly this is the first (and hopefully last) occurrence where we have had a guest make the assumption that (despite all of our pickup locations being listed as Banff) we would come to Calgary to pick them up. If you want to save yourself the hassle when booking experiences with any tour operators in the future, please make sure you are aware of the distance and effort required to making it to the starting location.
