Best Banff Tour, Hands Down

Stop searching, look no further, click "back" and just book this tour. No seriously, go do it. You will NOT regret this decision, I promise you. Stormm gave us a day we will never ever forget. We laughed a lot, we learned a ton, we stood in silence & stared at the beautiful scenery. He always gave us options on what else to do. He also made last minute suggestions based on the weather (it was COLD.) He thought of absolutely everything to make our tour perfect. So scroll back, book the tour, and prepare for an amazing day.

Storm was really knowledgeable about Canadas history and all of it’s beautiful terrain. He told us all about the native people that lived here and a lot of cool scientific things that sparked our interests. I’m not sure we had a favorite part - he makes the whole thing fun. Only wish we had more time..
You can tell he has taken his time to learn about this place and loves every second of it.
We will remember this tour forever.

We had a great trip with Storm. He was very knowledgeable. We got to see many beautiful places at out own pace. We definitely recommend Storm . We booked this trip from Australia and we’re impressed by the service and friendliness.

Lots of fun
If you are looking for a tour thats not cookie cutter and hv a fun tour guide take this. Stormm was fun and friendly and gave us a terrific tour

Excellent Personalized Service

Stormm is a wealth of information. He picked us up from our hotel, right on time, and off we went. Our tours were the last week of October, 2022, and there was snow on the mountains and Elk in the valleys. Stormm would stop at areas we found interesting and introduced us to areas we didn't know to look for. We hired Stormm for two half day tours and that was the perfect amount of time, still giving us the morning or afternoon to explore the town of Banff. I highly recommend Stormm and would only use him as a guide when we return to Banff in the springtime.

Fun adventure in the snow! An absolute must when in Banff

It was our first time travelling to Banff from Australia, so we wanted to pack in as much as we could with our limited time.

Stormm is a deadset legend. From go to whoa, he was so accomodating to change dates as we accidentally booked on the wrong day, he picked us up from our hotel and drove us to Castle Mountain, Lake Louise, hiked the Fairview Lookout Trail, drove along Icefields Parkway and had lunch while gazing at Crowfoot Glacier, had a snowball fight along the Peyto Lake trail and finally released our inner child as we walked along the shore of Bow Lake frolicking in the fresh snow.

Stormm was so knowledgeable and passionate about sharing amazing facts of the Rockies. He even joined in the fun as we marvelled and played in the glorious powdery snow, something we don’t see in Sydney.

It has been the highlight of our trip!! Ross and I are truly grateful for the brilliant winter adventure Stormm created for us.

MUST BOOK - what a day!!!!

WOW!! What a day!!!

Even before our tour started Stormm reached out to see how he can best customize our tour. We ended up seeing Bow falls, Banff golf course (ended up seeing a heard of elk), Castle junction, Castle mountain chalets, Morant curve (our favorite!!) Lake louise, Crowfoot glacier, Bow lake, Peyto lake!!!

He answered ALL of our questions and left us with so many fun facts and knowledge about the land, nature and ecosystems.

It is so clear how passionate and caring he is for this world and he’s so excited to pass on what he knows to his co-pilots on this journey. We had a full day of amazing views, laughs and lovely conversation and he really took care of us and thought of everything. He even left us a great recommendations for the rest of our trip in Banff. My parents are coming next year and can’t wait to book a full day with Stormm he truly is the BEST!!

Fantastic trip with Stormm!

Wow an excellent trip with Stormm, he was very friendly and knowledgeable. Stormm made the trip very personal and interesting. He exceeded our expectations by spotting a black bear which is also very rare for this time of year! Another highlight of the trip was visiting Yoho national park. Emerald lake was stunning, with beautiful views and reflections. We then stopped at a lodge for refreshments by the lake which was really cosy. Along the way we also stopped at castle junction, morants curve, natural bridge and Lake Louise, which were all gorgeous. Would definitely recommend this trip! Well worth it and made our experience of Banff extra special!

Lake Moraine Larch Valley Hike
This was our second tour with High Camp Banff Tours. We did a driving tour but also wanted to do a hike. We were two friends who have enjoyed visiting some of the National Parks. Neither of us is a big hiker but we both do a lot of walking and we wanted to experience the mountains through a hike. I should also mention that we’re both 70 years old. Stormm did a great job figuring out our capabilities and giving us options. We decided on the Larch Valley Trail at Lake Moraine, which is a moderate trail about 7 miles long in and out with an elevation up to about 8,000 feet. The trail was rocky so hiking poles were definitely a help! We took several breaks along the way, including for lunch, which was included. It was a great hike with beautiful scenery. We were definitely happy with our decision to use Stormm/High Camp Banff for our hike.

Great Tour/Terrific Banff Guide
We booked two tours with High Camp Banff. This was a half-day driving tour since we wanted to make sure we’d see the highlights in the area that we might otherwise miss on our own. Based on previous reviews we decided Stormm was the guide to help us do that. We weren’t disappointed. Stormm picked us up at our hotel at 8 a.m. in a comfortable Jeep. We went to several different places (including Emerald Lake and Takakkaw Falls) that definitely met the definition of beautiful. Stormm is definitely passionate about his work and really enjoys sharing his knowledge of both the natural and man-made worlds. His knowledge of geology and physics added to our understanding of what we saw. One of our most interesting stops was to watch a train wind its way through the spiral tunnels in BC. It was fun watch but also gave us an appreciation for the engineering and labor involved! I highly recommend Stormm and High Camp Banff.
