One of our goals for this trip was to do some kayaking. We found kayaks in Banff in a very populated area but once you were on the river it was just you and your boat. Had a great time. scenery was pretty also.

We signed up for the 1 hour canoe ride as part of a package with Banff Adventures. It was unfortunate that it was in the middle of the BC wildfire season so the views were quite limited, however it was still beautiful along the river...More

Hi Justin W. It's too bad that visibility was not very good during the time of your visit. Despite these issues, we're happy that you enjoyed paddling down the Bow River. The colour of the river is certainly remarkable! Thank you for the recommendation. We...More

Anytime you go on a wildlife tour, it's hit and miss with critters. The tour we went on was a giant canoe that could fit like 12 people. Everyone paddles, as you head around the Bow River, with the leader telling stories, steering, and looking...More

Canoes rentals on the river. Nice scenic paddle up the river away from the falls. I know how to canoe but found it strange they just put you in the canoe and off you go with no instruction

First come first serve, but as others have said, plenty of kayaks available. We went early in day and asked what was a good time for availability for later in the day. Worked for us!

They certainly do! We were 2 adults with one small child, so the canoe suited us better. But kayaks were there for the renting!
