The spa experience at Banff Springs is excellent but what truly set it apart was the massage I received from Lucy. Probably one of the best massages I ever had. I am an active individual who plays sports regularly. Her technique is well suited for athletic types.

I have been to a LOT of spas in a LOT of countries - but yesterday I had the absolute BEST massage of my life, with the incredibly professional therapist Joanna B! The pressure was perfect and the technique really relieved the pressure I had in my shoulders and neck. It was honestly the best experience I have ever had, and I wanted to thank her so much for making me feel better!
I will be back!

I highly recommend staying at The Fairmont when visiting Banff. The staff is so helpful and friendly. The hotel is breathtakingly Beautiful. The restaurants are wonderful with great food and amazing views. The hotel rooms are spacious and the the bed was so comfortable. I will defiantly be back.

Having had massages at plenty of 5 star resorts around the world this was by far one of my favorite experiences. My therapist Lucy was hands down one of the best I’ve ever had. Unfortunately, I was only limited to an hour wit her. However, she was able to work her magic and relive my sore muscles from all the hiking I endured. I did feel that the pool area was a little outdated. At times it got too crowded where it was noisy and not relaxing. I think the facility definitely needs an extra staff on hand because people were leaving their towels on the chair and leaving the spa which didn’t allow enough space for other guests to lounge by the pools. The quiet room was nice to avoid the crowdedness of the pool room.

Ok, so the spa is BEAUTIFUL 100% would recommend for the amenities. They have a co-ed relaxation area with beverages and snacks. Then it is separated for males and females for the change rooms, showers, steam room, sauna and on the female side they do have a hot tub in the middle of the steam and sauna. The mineral pool is for both males and females with different pools around it with different temperatures which is a beautiful scene. They have an outdoor hot tub which was nice on our rainy day.
The only bad that really made me choose 3 stars is the massage I got. My fiancé and I got a deep tissue massage by two different therapists and it was honestly the worthy massage I’ve ever had. I get massages regularly and we were both worse than when we came in. The massage therapist didn’t even advise of after care which most do ( hydrate etc) which I thought was strange. For a massage this expensive I expected way better.

I have stayed at this and other Fairmont properties in the past however this visit was just to the spa. The customer service was great as always. The spa is relaxing and in a gorgeous setting. Unfortunately it is showing some signs of age but nothing major. I was however a little disappointed with my facial ($279), I don't feel it was worth the fee, I will go elsewhere for this in the future. Services in general are very pricey here. I was also very disappointed to hear an automatic 18% gratuity would be added, that was an additional $50 on top of the service and tax charge I paid. I would normally tip however in this case it felt like way too much for what I received/how I felt about the service and I did not appreciate not being able to choose that.

I recently had my hair done at the salon at the Willow Stream Spa. I had highlights and cut done by Jordyn and am super happy with the entire experience. She was a true professional and was able to get my hair as close to the picture I showed her as possible. She even gave me a lesson on how to curl my hair just like she did. Although I know I won't be able to do it quite so well. She is a great addition to the team. I highly recommend.

I chose Willow Stream partly because of the great reviews, but also because it was the only spa that I could find in Canmore or Banff that required all its staff AND clients to be fully vaccinated (or have a negative COVID test). They are more expensive than the other spas I was considering, but I felt it was worth the extra money to ensure I was protecting myself from COVID the best I could.
What an amazing day! Paul did my body wrap/massage and mini facial, and he was extremely professional and friendly. I asked for hard pressure for the massage, and he really delivered. I think he found sore spots even my regular massage therapist doesn't. I felt incredible afterwards.
Hannah did my manicure and pedicure, another incredibly relaxing and pampering experience. She's great at what she does and I came out feeling like a million bucks!
The bonus of going to the Willow Stream Spa is the additional amenities available to spa guests- a mineral pool, waterfall hot/cold pools, sauna, stream room... You could spend time here between and after treatments and it just made the day perfect.
The only reason I didn't give Willow Stream five stars was because my brand new nail polish didn't last past the evening. Weirdly, the polish on each nail slipped right off in a single piece- I discovered this when I had a bath hours later and nail polish layers in the shape of my nails started floating to the top of the water. And I should note that, after my mani/pedi, I waited longer than the 30 minutes that Hannah recommended to use the extra amenities- and only for a few minutes before I left.
I've never had this happen before, and we even used my own nail polish that I've used before. I'm guessing what happened is that the oil from the body wrap made my nails more slippery, despite the fact that Hannah used nail polish remover to ensure my nails were clean. Fortunately, my main purpose in getting a mani/pedi is the skin and nail care, and the polish is an extra bonus for me. Although it's disappointing the polish didn't last more than a day, considering the cost of treatments. I wish the spa had recommended doing the mani/pedi first and the body wrap last. 🙁

My friend and I had a massage on Sept 25th after running the Melissa's road race. We had the best check in experience with Kyra. Thank you so much for making us feel welcome right from the moment we stepped into the spa.

If you buy a day pass and a treatment are you able to come and go from the spa all day?We would like to make a day of it and have lunch and dinner at the restaurants in the hotel
Hi, can your spa accommodate larger parties of people? My friends and I are trying to select a spa in Banff that can easily service the 6 of us for the day and provide a private area for us to have lunch on site.
It's our annual spa weekend and we've been doing it for 11yrs.
Thanks!

With a lot of notice, you can. But when they sre were under construction and may still be, it was not worth your time. I used to go 3 times a year and will never go back due to the way our group of 8 was treated during their renos.
1. Is gel polish available for pedicures
2. Is the seasonings feet first body treatment eligible for insurance massage coverage?
BanffWillowStreamSpa
Banff, Canada
Thank you for your question Nicoelle,
Unfortunately we do not offer gel polish in our spa at all.
Feet First is a body treatment and most insurance companies would not consider covering it.
I hope you will find the above answers helpful.
We are looking forward to having you over at our spa.
Warm regards,
Willow Stream Spa Management

In Banff from the 15th Feb to the 23rd, I have downloaded your amazing treatment brochure and keen to visit. Would you recommend booking before I arrive and where can I get a price list please?
BanffWillowStreamSpa
Banff, Canada
Dear Hazel M,
We suggest that you book in advance especially if your spa day plans fall on weekend. Typically weekends are our busiest days and getting an appointment that you really like might be challenging, if you wait until the last moment. We still have lots of availability and our reservations team can assist you in choosing treatment that may best suite your needs.
We are looking forward to welcoming you to Banff and the Willow Stream Spa.

Can I submit my assessment sheet ahead of my treatment? I do not want this to cut into my treatment time like last time I was there.
BanffWillowStreamSpa
Banff, Canada
Hello Yvonne S,
You can certainly submit your medical form ahead of time and simply send us filled document via e-mail. This will save some time at the check in.
We also recommend arriving to the spa earlier and taking advantage of the pools before the treatment, this way nothing will be cutting into a treatment in case there are any delays leading to treatment.

Is there any restaurants inside the spa so that I can spend some time around lunch?
BanffWillowStreamSpa
Banff, Canada
Hi kim19921222,
The spa does not have a restaurant as such however spa guests can order from our special spa menu available through In-room Dinning services and dine in our Co-ed Lounge. Alternatively if you like you can leave the spa to dine in one of the hotel restaurants and come back for more spa afterwards. Please feel free to visit the Fairmont Banff Springs website where you can find the respective menus.
We hope to see you soon at the Willow Stream Spa.

Hello! I'm wondering what you'd recommend for a 55 year old gal, slightly worn, fairly stressed and in need of some pampering. My wife. She has resisted all attempts to bring her to the spa whenever we are in Banff so next August my daughter and I will deliver her to Willow Stream Spa tied up in a potato sack if need be. I'd like to buy a package in advance if possible so she has no choice but to use it. (she is always worried about cost) If you could recommend something and give me a ball park figure I'd be grateful. Thanks
