The easiest and best signposted place to see the Bow Falls is from the car park below the Banff Springs Hotel. You get a much better view though, and the famous view of the Banff Springs Hotel against forested hillsides, from Surprise Corner up on...More

Bow Falls is beautiful - but this is a VERY STRONG warning for anyone - with kids or without - to heed the "steep cliff" warning signs you see near these falls and to be careful even when you do not see signs around these...More

This park offers the view of the Bow Fall and its river, where Marilyn Monroe and Robert Mitchum filmed 'River of no Return'. Landmark 'Fairmont Hotel' is right along. Picnic table and BBQ grill are available in the nearby park.

Nothing you won't find in the UK but a good spot for a break on a journey. Not much to do other than gaze though.

This was a beautiful spot and very easy to get to. I would recommend it. There is an open parking lot, parking is free (anywhere in banff you have to have a national park pass though).

Enjoyed walking along the river to the bow falls from downtown, probably only 20 or 30 minutes. Picturesque pedestrian bridge over river and many outlooks along path. Built an ice sculpture from the ice chunks that line the river.

It was winter magic. The falls are icing over and the overspray on the banks and trees were breathtaking. You can walk a short path to stand above the falls which is great for photos. You can drive down to the parking lot next to...More

Stayed at the hotel and walked the bow falls path with our pups. Easy track to hike and plenty of beautiful vistas to take in and for photographs. Links the town of Banff to the band springs hotel golf course.

we took a drive along the River and ended up at the Falls. It was so pretty and cold. Loved the sound of the falls crashing into the River. The surrounding forest was just breath taking

We have been to the falls many times,in all seasons. It is very beautiful,a great place to sit and relax. You can also take a walk by the river or up to the falls. In winter this path is closed, but the falls remain fascinating when...More

Got there late in the day, but that did not deter from the awesomeness of the falls. They were very pretty with parts of it being frozen. The edges around the river were also frozen. Be sure and walk down river a little to see...More

The falls can barely be categorized as "falls", since it's very tiny. The walk by the Bow river is nice, but really nothing spectacular. I wouldn't make a special visit just to come here, if you are tight in time, this can definitely be skipped...More
