The trail leading from the town of Banff to the Bow falls is a great stroll along the Bow river that offers beautiful views on the mountains in the surroundings. Both in winter and summer, this outdoor activity is enjoyable. While during the coldest months the river is frozen, the rapids regain their place in summer. The Bow falls is... More

Just a short walk to the falls. Lovely photo opportunity there. Also a nice view of the hills in front of the Fairmont.

It's so much fun walking along the Bow River trail from downtown Banff all the way down to the falls below the Banff Springs Hotel. We hiked the closed trail (not a smart idea unless you've got good cleats and a set of walking poles, because it's really icy -- there's a reason it's closed!) and got a great view... More

follow the trail along the river, not much of a falls in the winter but it is a nice walk. You can also drive here by heading towards Banff Springs hotel and turning off just beforhand

Nice Little stop on our longer tour, would be a good place to have picnic on a good weather day. It was easily accessible for me with a cast!

What a stunning vista! The falls were frozen but the water was coming through the ice in a few places. A relaxing place to sit and reflect.

The surrounding area is some of the most beautiful landscape we've ever seen. Sweeping rock formations and stunning long distance views. Being there in the snow and frozen temperatures meant we didn't see the falls in all their majesty but if you're looking for falls that are spectacular then these will disappoint. I challenge anyone to look at these photos... More

One of the most beautiful falls in the area. Its mostly covered in snow and ice in the winter, but nonetheless, an amazing sight to see.
