I could not recommend jumping on a FREE ski/board tour with Ski Friends, they are a group of volunteers who will show you around the mountain for 2 hours at 10am and 1:15pm from the Whiskey Lodge. Our tour was based on our abilities and our guide Michael thoughtfully crafted a route that took us all around the resort. I did two in one day because I was travelling solo and it was such a great way to see the hill from a local’s eyes.

We had an excellent Christmas Day morning ‘Scenic snowshoe tour’. Mitch, our guide, was a really good guide giving us plenty of information about the history, local nature and trees ( Tree time with Mitch was a highlight!) Mitch also showed us the spectacular view points which allowed us to take some breathtaking pictures. I totally recommend doing this tour, it wasn’t too physically arduous and the guides give plenty of rest time. Thanks Mitch!

What can we say about this day ? We had an amazing snowshoeing tour in the moutain facing incredible landscapes. We will keep in memory the kindness of Mitch who was an incredible guide showing us every features of those mountains. This experience was amazing and you could feel how passionate Mitchell is. You can talk about everything when you want. I can only recommend this activity !

I always take Lake Louise Ski Resort - Ski Friends Tour and have always been happy with it. I had mutiple tours with David, Dave and Kevin this trip and was happy again to ski with someone knowledgeable and passionate about the mountains. Thanks Ski Friends. To take the tour, meet them 15 minutes before 10am or 1:15pm before the lodge near Glacia Express Lift side.

It was fun to do the free guided tour with the Ski Hosts Randy and Freddy. We liked it so much that we came back another day and did other tours with Larry, Lary, Dave and Bill! They guide you through all the different slopes in the area based on your skiing skills.

My trip to this moutain was during a week where the temperatures were -20 F. So the "snow" was essentially hard packed ice. There were some groomed runs. That being said this is a great resort with spectacular views of the Canadian Rockies and Lake Louise itself. The staff were friendly and the main lodge had the amenities you would expect from a well run ski resort. (The lodge itself was impressive in its design. (rustic wood work.) (Interestingly, the wood used for construction of the lodge and on moutain restaurant was from trees felled while building the chair lift routes).

I had Dan C as a ski instructor. He was amazing. I went from nursery slopes to a black diamond in three sessions. Dan made the lessons fun and relaxing. He was kind and patient and instructed in a way that was clear, achievable and such a positive experience. I went from being highly anxious to having an amazing time. Thanks Dan🤗

Had an awesome time skiing at Lake Louise. In my eyes the prettiest resort in North America. No lift lines and lots of terrain. I had the chance to ski with the guided tour from ski friends with Ian E. and had an amazing tour. Ian showed me the whole mountain, was very knowledgeable about the history of the resort and trails and was fun to be around. We did blues and some blacks at a great pace for an advanced skier.

I spent the week in Banff and skied at Lake Louise. I participated in the mountain tours offered for free by the Lake Louise Mountain Friends. This is an amazing service where they have free tours twice a day to help you familiarize yourself with the mountain at every ski level. I highly recommend taking this tour.

Loved 😍 the Ski Friends tour of Lake Louise Ski Resort with Linda & Steve! Saw WAY more of the mountain than I would have on my own. Linda & Steve made me feel very welcome as the only snow boarder in a group with 9 other skiers. Terrific fun, loved Lake Louise. I'm a Ski Friends fan for good now.
