My kids love climbing the rocks but for the less adventurous, there are walking trails. Be advised that they are not handicapped accessible because they are carved into the rock, are quite narrow and steep, even those portions with stairs. However, the view is worth...More

Very pretty lake surrounded by beautiful mountains; but what isn't beautiful about traveling through the Canadian Rockies. An excellent to stop and enjoy the scenery.

Every element in Banff came together in this lake, the turquoise water, the snow mountain, and the trail among rocks and pine trees... Moraine Lake is a must-go! Going up the hill was fun, and the pictures taken up on the rocks were definitely unreal!

Close to Lake Louise and worth seeing. To get the best view, climb the hill. Most of the climb has steps. I didn't have hiking gear but was fine.

We went at 7 AM. By 9 AM they had closed the road because of the crowds. Go very early or very late, otherwise this one is mobbed!

Yes there are may hiking trails. We climbed the one to the top of small mountain from where you get to see a great view of the lake. Takes about 20miutes to get to the top.

It was very warm when we were there. T-shirts were fine then but it never hurts to have a light sweater just in case.

Moraine Lake is about an hour from Banff, and about 15 minutes from Lake Louise. And, yes. It's at the end of Moraine Lake Road.
