Breath taking and stunning views. Be sure to climb up the rock to get a bird's eye view. If you are not into climbing, there are stairs in the back. Moraine Lake is pictured on the Canadian 20 dollar bill which is not in circulation....More

Best way to describe this place...Caribbean green water surrounded by the gorgeous Rocky Mountains! I’ve seen lots of beautiful mountain lakes but nothing with water like this. Great place to do some easy trails and take in breathtaking scenery. You won’t stop taking pictures!

I wish no one else was there! So beautiful but so so many people, and so many of them really, really rude. If you go please be nice. If you’re on a tour bus please don’t be rude - treat the natural environment as if...More

Took good advice to arrive at around 07.45 as it was true that the parking lot was busy even then but at least we avoided the long lines to get in at 08.30 plus the access road had been closed when we reached it going...More

Drove by at 5, hoping the crowds had let up but the lot was closed. Headed over to Lake Louise and hung out on the shore area for an hour, then returned to Moraine to find that the lot was open and there was plenty...More

Parking is nearly impossible. The road is often closed because the parking is full, but all is not lost. Visit after dinner. Parking will be available and pictures are amazing near sunset. Climb the rock pile and start snapping. So pretty, there were two wedding...More

We visited lake moraine recently with our son. The lake only has a smallish carpark so you need to get there early to guarantee parking as there is no other parking available. We got there just before 8am and walked along the lake and back,...More

Lovely day out, wonderful views, so don’t forget your camera. Make sure you wear your walking shoes as there is plenty of walking involved.

Moraine lake was almost defrosted with small patches of ice when we visited, and the colours were amazing to see. Great viewpoint if you take a short climb to look down on it. Much better than being at lake level. A must visit if anywhere...More
