We road our bikes from Lake Louise. It was a great ride. Views are amazing. the lake is incredible. it does get very very busy. Bus load after bus load. but there is enough room to walk around with out too much trouble.

My personal opinion, I found Moraine Lake more beautiful than Lake Louise. Do not misinterpret , they are both outstanding and worth visiting. What views we saw. Some posts say it is very crowded, but after lines in Disney world seems empty to me. Thank...More

This is a MUST see lake in Jasper ! If possible watch and photograph sunrise on this lake. A small trail goes up the rock piles from where you get a stunning vista of the lake! Must climb place! During summer you may have to...More

Moraine Lake seems to be the younger, less loved sister to Lake Louise, but I'll take Moraine Lake anyday. Moraine is far less busy compared to Lake Louise, and the Rockpile allows for viewing from above so one can really appreciate its beauty.

Moraine lake is only a short (10-15 mins) drive away from Lake Louise. Nothing is visible from road level until you park and walk about 200 metres leading to the entrance of the lake area. The first sight is really amazing and takes your breath...More

A must see, beautiful scenery. It was snowing which made it even more beautiful, everything was white. Don't miss this attraction not too far from Lake Louise

Another stop at a beautiful lake, Morain was a bit crowded with summer campers, hikers, bikers and tourists. We tried to hike around this beautiful spot but it got too cold and windy and we were not dressed properly for the weather. If we ever...More

We visited on an overcast stormy afternoon and the lake still managed to look stunning! Fantastic emerald green. Backdrop of majestic mountains with the lip of a glacier visible. We walked along the lakeside trail and then headed up the trail to the Consolation Lakes...More

Did not see any cruises on Lake Moraine. A canoe might be more practical as its a fairly small lake compared to Lake Louise for example.

In all likelihood you are confusing the two 'M' lakes, Moraine & Maligne (near Jasper), or possibly a third 'M' lake, Minnewanka (nearer to the town of Bannf). Minnewanka & Maligne both have cruises, but Moraine does not... More

Yes, no problem! It's not that hard to paddle around, you'll have enough time to see the lake.
