Having traveled to Lake Louise multiple times over the last 20+ years, this was the first visit for my wife and I to the Lake Louise Sightseeing Gondola. The August weather was spectacular - clear, sunny and warm with little wind so the ride on...More

We only did this with the hope of seeing grizzly bears in the wild, and we saw two of them! One was quite close, if you consider the fact we were high off the ground in the lift. We also saw mule deer further up...More

Wonderful long ride all the way to the mountain facing Lake Louise. We saw 2 grizzlies walking beneath us. On the mountain you can walk to the local restaurant, sit on the terrace and enjoy the lake view away from the crowds. Just wonderful.

We grabbed a brochure about the gondola over at Lake Louise, and it had a $5 off per person coupon in it! Score! Out of the Sulphur Mountain gondola, the Lake Louise gondola, and the Jasper Skytram, this was my least favorite. The views were...More

We specifically asked before buying the gondola tickets if the lift went all the way to the top of the mountain. Ticket seller said, "Yes." And added that there was a restaurant right at the top of the lift. She lied on both counts. The...More

We came here as part of a tour, on a rainy cloudy day!!! We queued for 30 minutes to ride up in the Gondola, because the one gondola that was running had 2 chairlifts to 1 gondola, and no one wanted to go up on...More

This is must adventure when visiting Banff. We did the ride and breakfast package and were not disappointed. Although it was cloudy when we left, by the time the gondola left it was clear and we saw three grizzly bears right underneath the gondola. The...More

Take the chairlift with nice wheater. Tip: buy the ticket inclusing breakfast: just 3 dollars and you'll get a big buffet style breakfast. It's not on the mountain though, its is at the restaurant at the base of the gondola. The wildlife center on top...More

Hi, To the best of my knowledge, I don't recall getting priority in line. There was one line that forms. The advantage is that you don't have to stand in the ticket line on site. :)
