Alberta Fishing Charters offers fully guided daily Fishing Charters at several lakes in the Calgary, Canmore and Banff regions. We provide a private, fully equipped fishing boat, expert fishing guide and all the fishing equipment needed to ensure a great day on the lake! We also provide fully guided ice fishing day trips with your own private shelter and guide to aid you in catching those fish! Target species are Northern Pike, Walleye, Lake Trout & Bull Trout depending on your preference!

Troy provided an unforgettable first ever ice fishing (trout) experience for my son and me during our recent visit (29 Dec 22)! You'll either need your own transportation, a driving service, or a hire car to reach fishing location. However, it's only a short drive out of Calgary (where we stayed). Troy provides everything you need for a day of ice fishing. All we needed to bring was a fishing license (Troy provides the link to purchase), warm clothing, lunch + beverage, and your camera to get those amazing and memorable shots! He was extremely knowledgeable, attentive, patient, and kind. He was also eager to share tips, suggestions, and tricks he's learned throughout his time fishing in Calgary and surrounding areas. He went above and beyond to ensure it was an enjoyable and rewarding experience. My 14-y/o son is now talking about coming back during the warmer season to try his hand at fishing for Walleye and Pike. I highly recommend Troy, and Alberta Fishing Charters for your next fishing trip!

We had a fantastic family fishing trip with Troy! He is very friendly and knowledgeable and knows exactly where to find the fish! He also had some great tips and tricks and was very patient with our 12 year old son. Between the 3 of us we caught well over 20 fish including a 31" Pike! Communication was great from booking, right through to the end of the tour. He was ready to go at the agreed meeting time and stayed out on the water with us until the bitter end! The boat was very clean and comfortable and all the gear was provided. I highly recommend a relaxing day on the lake with Troy!

As a present for Father’s Day my wife booked a trip with Troy of Alberta Fishing Charters to take my son and I fishing for Pike and Walleye. Troy took us to Crawling Valley Reservoir and gave us an awesome day on the water. Troy is personable and professional, he had the knowledge to get us onto fish pretty quickly. I am by no means an expert angler, but I have a son who is super keen. Troy allowed us to get out on the water and teach us the appropriate techniques and provide the top quality equipment to get the fish in the boat!
This was our second trip with Troy having also done an ice fishing trip in February which was great as well. I would highly recommend him.
Be aware, side effects are your son asking you weekly to either by him a boat or book another outing with Troy right away!

Amazing fishing! Caught 10 walleye/pickerel and the smallest was 4lbs! The largest was 8lbs!!! The average size of pickerel caught was 6lbs! We also caught too many pike to count. For pretty much all 7hrs our rods were bent. Non-stop action. Every single fish that bit pulled drag. Troy (the guide), is really knowledgeable of the fish and the lakes as well as what techniques and lures to use. Next time I am back in the Calgary area I am definitely booking another trip. I would definitely recommend the trophy fishing package for those who want the biggest and the best.

Fabulous experience! Caught two monster northern pike, double the size of anything I caught before. Also caught a big walleye and a couple average pike. My friend caught a big pike and walleye. Troy was very helpful and informative. He took the time to show us different presentations an techniques. Troy was good to chat with. The gear was top quality. I highly recommend Alberta Fishing Charters and I will be fishing with them again.

Thanks Troy for the great day. We were landing fish within minutes of being on the water. Troy was very helpful and patient. My son doesn’t have a lot of fishing experience yet and he was able to learn a lot.
We lost count of the exact number of fish but it was over 20. All that matters was that I beat my son! Hope to do this again.

Had an excellent day fishing for Walleye and Northern Pike! Troy was exceptional - taking us to several spots where we hit plenty of great fish. 35 fish in all including a 35” pike and 28” Walleye. We were hitting fish within 5 minutes of leaving the dock and the action continued throughout the day. Great fishing and excellent guide! The drive from Canmore was well worth it!

We had an amazing experience and would totally recommend anyone interested in a guided fishing tour. Troy was a pleasure to spend a day with and was very helpful and knowledgable. Between the 2 of us we caught more than 30 great size fish and enjoyed Troy’s boat, equipment and guidance. This experience was above and beyond our expectations.

My son and I had a great time fishing at the Crawling Valley Reservoir with Troy on June 13, 2019. It was the first fishing experience for my son, and he was able to catch around 9 pikes and one walleye. Troy was very patient and showed my son how to cast and catch the fish. We caught over 35 fishes between my son and I. Troy was very professional and responsive with his communications and made all the required arrangements for us to get there and enjoy our fishing experience.

We had a great time with Troy. Be is easy going, laughed at our jokes and displayed am adept knowledge of fishing. Three of us caught 33 fish jigging, trolling and casting. It was an excellent day and the weather was beautiful. I highly recommend using Troy for your next fishing adventure.
