As a family, we have done over 30 escape rooms, and the ones at Escape Ops rank on top. They are clearly a labour of love, and are challenging but intuitive and satisfying. There are currently 4 rooms available, and each is an unique experience. The owner/operators are enthusiastic and dedicated - this definitely added to our overall experience. Absolutely recommend to anyone visiting Calgary (and if you are an escape room enthusiast, absolutely recommend visiting Calgary to check them out!)

Nothing rekindles your marriage like an Escape Ops puzzle. Not sure what we were getting into, we were pleasantly surprised with the theme and puzzles of The Dynamic Duo. Note that this is currently Calgary’s only 2 person escape room and so is specificity designed for 2 people. (You don’t have to be married). We solved the case going over our time by just a few minutes and learned to work together more. Thanks to the staff for their kind help when needed and creativity fun puzzles! We’ll be back to try the other rooms with friends.

My girlfriend found this new and upcoming escape room on Facebook and we decided to check it out. She was able to get us a pretty sweet deal too, with (I believe) 15% off, by posting it on another social media platform (not sure if that promotion is still going on). When we got there, we met the owner, Dan, who was very friendly, welcoming and excited for us to try his escape room. It was an unbelievable experience, to say the least. I've done a lot of escape rooms in the past, but this stands out more positively with its out-of-the-ordinary theme (i.e. no unoriginal zombie apocalypse theme thank god), and very logically oriented puzzles (i.e. no guess work or leaps of faith required). My girlfriend and I were able to finish the room successfully, and we got a little bonus at the end which we really appreciated. We talked a bit with Dan afterwards, who told us a bit about the current project he's working on and we're super excited to try it out when it's ready. All in all, my girlfriend and I had an AMAZING experience at this escape room and were very satisfied with the experience. We really enjoyed our experience. Escape room was well thought out and well organized. The staff are also absolutely amazing and attentive. We've been to a number of escape rooms and have been frustrated at some of these in the past when items don't work correctly or there are too many "red herrings", but this experience was wonderful. It has been our favorite escape room in Calgary, thank you for an amazing adventure!

My friends told me this Escape Room facility was above and beyond anything available in Calgary and I was not disappointed. I went with a group of friends and tried the Hyperspace room. We were immediately transported to the hull of a starship with the amazing and creative design of the space! The puzzles were complex and interesting and though we did not complete it in an hour it was such an fantastic experience. I’ll be going back again soon!

We did Dynamic Duo and had a blast!

We visited for the first time tonight with family and friends. We did the Cognition Puzzle. It was only our third escape room and so different from the information overload some rooms have. The visuals were excellent and we really had to concentrate and work together to solve the mystery. AJ was there to answer when we needed to be pointed in the right direction. A great evening!

Definitely a 5-star experience! There were challenging puzzles that we loved with some really cool team dynamic, but it's also very accessible for casual groups that haven't done a lot of escape rooms.

I recently came with my family to do the Cognition room and enjoyed it so much that I came back a couple of days later to do Hyperspace. The puzzles are unique and the design of the rooms was exceptional. One thing that sets these escape rooms apart is that they cater to both new players and veterans so anyone can enjoy them. It is evident that Escape Ops is passionate about escape rooms because they're always enthusiastic and friendly, and their rooms are detailed and well thought out. I have done many escape rooms, and most in the city, and I can confidently say that the rooms at Escape Ops are some of the best (if not the best) currently in the city!

There are many nearby. Google your preferences. But 2 blocks away at Marlborough Mall are Old Spagehtti Factory and Brown's Social House.
