    Beautiful Lush Green Park
A lovely park where you can walk around, listen to street artists sing, paddle down the lake and see the downtown skyline. There are also play areas of kids. Most of the people were jogging or walking their dogs and it was so calm and soothing and watching the sun set was a dream.

    Lovely Island in the City
What a great park. Not large but not small either. Great location, near the water and downtown Calgary. On a nice day this is a great day to go strolling or ride a bike. I can certainly see many events being held here. When we arrived Pride was being set up. Good place to spend an hour.

An absolute must to visit in Calgary
Prince's Island Park was certainly the most picturesque sight I visited during my week in Calgary. It's a beautiful, well-kept, expansive park overlooking downtown that's just a joy to walk around on a sunny day. We visited here quite a few times just to soak in the atmosphere and relax on a bench. Photographers in particular will have a field day here.

    Afternoon stroll
Spent a great couple of hours walking around this beautiful park enjoying the stunning views of the Bow river and well maintained park. The paths were clearly designated for pedestrians and cyclists. As the weather was so glorious we were able to appreciate the various colours of the trees. Our circular walk took in the Peace Bridge

    Calming & Peaceful
We had such a peaceful visit coming here! There's paid parking available across the road, and a small bridge connecting the two together make it great for a leisure walk. There's cute little sculptures around the park, so see if you can find them along your trail! Plenty of benches to rest on, so you can also watch the cute little ducks waddle around or maybe a squirrel climb a tree. All in all, this was a great stop to smell the roses as some would say.

Nice tranquil visit yet within a short distance of the city. Very well maintained and an excellent spot for taking pictures.

I took some walks around this more rustic part of Calgary. There were restaurants, and there were paved areas to walk or to bike. The gardens were great. I really enjoyed my time at this area.

This urban park has formal and casual hiking trails, manicured and natural areas. There is art, wildlife and lots of use yet it is not crowded. The contrast with the downtown skyscape is incredible.

The location is excellent, in the middle of the Bow River in an area beyond the realm of vehicles. Pedestrian bridges will take you north or south of same. The area, however, looked tired, with grass beaten down to a gold colour. There is a Sculpture Walk which did not intrigue me.

Downtown Calgary is full of traffic and skyscrapers. Yet five minutes’ walk, across the busy river-side walks and cycle ways at the north side of the city centre, over a pedestrian bridge and suddenly the world changes.

A lovely area of lawns and trees, you can look one way and see the city skyline, and the other way and see greenery and the sparkling river (at least if the sun is shining!). Gentle walks (or a jog, if you are so inclined), a pleasant (if pricey) eatery in the River Cafe, and some great views. And some strategically placed benches to help you enjoy the view. And (when we visited) some charming Canada Geese families, who seemed pretty relaxed around humans.

Calgary locals, of course, know about this hidden gem right by the bustle of the city. But if you find yourself in Calgary with an hour to spare, cross one of the bridges and… BREATH…
