In the heart of Calgary there is a lovely park called Prince's Island Park. It is nestled between Eau Clarie and the Bow River. I like the fact that it is a safe place to walk. In summer many festivals are located here. They have...More

The river area downtown is definitely one of the nicest parts of Calgary. You can walk down one side, cross over and come back up the other. Often there are events set up in the park. Nicely landscaped and lots of people around.

We took a stroll along this park, which was covered in snow but the pathways were clean. Black squirrels were here and there looking for food. A pleasant stroll with the Peace bridge at the end of this park

Great park in the middle of the city. But needs something other than that crazy expensive restaurant to bring people down on non-festival days. Love the little nature park. Huge improvement! Now for some public art....

Easily accessible, Prince's Island is a great place for a walk. Interesting sculptures and lots of ducks and geese.

Walks, runs, biking, rollerblading, picnics, big events from Folk Fest to Canada Day, throwing a frisbee or playing with ducks, skating in the winter- this is an inner city GEM.

It's a decent city park that has great city views of Calgary!! There are many good photo spots, don't miss the Canada 150 years sign in this park.

Usually there are people offering rides during the summertime, you just ask one of them. Hope that helped! :)

Since the park is huge, there are many neighboring places where you can park your car. You can also drive around the area of Eau Claire or Chinatown, but it won't be free. Parking in downtown Calgary can be expensive thou... More
