Very active downtown park island on the river. Great little known skating lagoon in the winter. People feed ducks in the summer. The geese can be aggressive. People transit the multiple cleared pathways year round running and cycling.

This is a very walkable park even in winter. It's on a little island in the bow river just off the central downtown district. We walked the entire park crossing pedestrian bridges three times and taking about an hour. There were skaters on a portion of the river on the city side. Very peaceful and beautiful park.

This is a lovely space right downtown yet miles away. Well worth the time to stroll or sit on a bench here. Peaceful but not deserted. Has a god restaurant too-River Cafe.

This is a nice piece of oasis in Calgary and a place to do the jogging, picnics and a lot more! People who visit Calgary should not miss this serene place to relax. Summer time could be refreshing, with all the flowers blooming. Would highly recommend to do some walk on this island after a nice meal on the various... More

Pretty and easy to walk paths line this park with a beautiful river (the Bow) close by. Lots of birds and ducks around for bird watchers - big (and sometimes scary) squirrels are fearless and will often take nuts from your hand. On clear and sunny days I have seen trout swimming in the river under the bridge. If you... More

Nice park but it's not quiet by any means. Scenery is quite nice and if you're downtown and want to escape to a green area it would be great. No reason to go out of your way to visit it though as there was nothing outstanding about it.

The activities are endless in the park, well organised festivals or just fun face painting with prow activists. I like the evening visit during summer time, Shakespeare In The Park. Variety of services are accessible for families or couples. My children enjoyed the hills and amenities for years growing up. Now We take advantage of each opportunity to have a... More
