From the splendor of the Rocky Mountains to the heart of Destination Africa, The Calgary Zoo takes you to see almost 900 animals from around the world. Trek through the gorilla’s rainforest, safari over the Savannah to watch the hippos swim, or climb the Canadian Wilds to see a grizzly bear. Cool off and get beak to nose with 4 species of penguins in our popular Penguin Plunge or visit endangered red pandas and amur tigers in Eurasia! Wind down your trip with a walk through our fragrant Dorothy Harvie Gardens or sit with the butterflies in ENMAX Conservatory. You'll love knowing that every visit helps protect endangered animals at home and in the wild.

NEW in 2017 is the unique and immersive permanent Land of Lemurs exhibit. Coming in 2018 are the iconic giant pandas!

Your clients will be in for a treat when hosting an event at Calgary Zoo. Professional staff always willing to go the extra mile. High quality food and spectacular views. Doing business while having fun is possibly one of the best combos for a successful ROI. Hosted 3 functions here and will definitely repeat in the future

This zoo was one of the very best that I have been to, the wild Canada part was excellent and we saw a lot of the animals we would have seen had we got as far as the Rockies. The prehistoric trail was also excellent for example we were taking photographs and suddenly the dinosaur right next to us started... More

Well worth the admission. We arrived between noon-1 and hadn't even finished by the time they were closing. Lots of awesome animals to look at!

My daughter took myself and my granchildren to this event. I know she paid $29.95 per adult and $16.95 per child. I really think the event was well priced considering you get brunch included. I havn't been to the zoo for years so this was a great treat! Put your walking shoes on as I did see a lot of... More

This Zoo is a wonderful experience! The penguin exhibit starts the day off right. There is such a variety of them and they are so entertaining. The dinosaur exhibit is a must see for all ages. I was in awe for the entire hour I spent at this section of the park. I loved the landscapes and waterfall! There was... More

Honestly the Calgary zoo is probably one of the best that I can think of. The admission is sort of pricy, but you can easily spend an entire day checking out all of the cool stuff!!! Enjoy!

You may think that the zoo is only for kids... no no, I spent a day with my family (only adults) and we had a great day. It was interesting, the pathways are pleasant.

Bar none, the Calgary Zoo is the best attraction the city has to offer! It is a world-class facility that really requires more than one visit to appreciate. I've lived here for over 40 years and visited more times than I can count, yet there is always something new and exciting to see. The zoo is laid out geographically, making... More

They have done a superb job of redoing the Dinosaur Park. Great fun if a little scary for the smallest children. The penguins are always entertaining. The butterfly exhibit is a great place to spend a quiet moment when you need to sit down for a break. There is lots of walking but with some different experience all along the... More

A big hit are the penguins as you enter the zoo but a hidden gem are the otters in the Canadian Wild. They are in a building housing restroom facilities. You can watch them swim and play through the glass. You are also able to sneak a peak into their sleeping area. Young or old you will enjoy their playfulness.... More
