Wonderful afternoon, delightfully wasted!

Bounded on the south by a broad boulevard park and the north bank of the Bow River, the neighbourhood is at its most intense between 10th and 14th Streets NW. EXCELLENT... read more

We visited Kensington but we couldn't understand all the hype. It's a nice area but nowt special. Has some nice bars etc but I guess given time it'll get to what people claim it is today.

Kensington has some very interesting shops in the area and some great eats for restaurants. It is connected at 10th street to the bike path which can take you downtown too.Great on a hot summer day to bike in the area, and even a farmer's market on Wednesdays and Sundays near 14 Street.

LOVE Kensington district... lots of great restaurants, wine bars, coffee shops, indy shopping stores. Riley Pk is close by, Downtown is across the Bow River .. and oh yea, the Bow River is around the corner .. beautiful walking paths along the Bow & take the 'Peace Bridge" over to downtown & get in some (FUN) 'trouble' there !! ;)... Lots of unique shops, restaurants and coffee shops in Kensington area. The parking is very limited so make sure to get to the area early or park downtown and walk over the bridge to Kensington for the shopping.

Kensington district/community has been a small, growing part of the Calgary city for years. Like many other areas still upgrading/upscaling and building new condo's, Kensington offers another small but lively area to walk, live and enjoy. Small in scale to some of the other areas, still, many new shops, eateries, and a safe walk. Many just walk along Kensington Road... More

Bounded on the south by a broad boulevard park and the north bank of the Bow River, the neighbourhood is at its most intense between 10th and 14th Streets NW. EXCELLENT strolling/biking path right beside the river. Coffee shops galore; knicky-knacky shoppes and restaurants line both Kensington road and 10th Street north to about 5th Avenue north. My own preference... More

After reading good reviews, and finished sightseeing in Downtown Calgary, we were looking forward to our visit to Kensington. How disappointed we were!! We expected a buzzing and atmospheric area, but found it to be lacklustre. There were less shops that we were led to believe, none of which really impressed, and the whole had very little appeal. Since returning... More

Kensington is a trendy little area with lots of great shops and restaurants. It's so fun to go on a summer day and browse the stores and have lunch outside. This area is easily accessible by C-Train (Sunnyside station on the Tuscany/Somerset LRT), which is great for travellers using transit. Highly recommend to visitors or locals who have not been... I am writing this review as it might benefit those who are visiting Calgary for the first time. If you enjoyed downtown Calgary, and has seen most of its attractions, don't miss Kensington. You can walk to the area by crossing the Louise Bridge, by CTrain or Bus or using a bike path. If you are crossing the bridge, look... More
