It covers, literally, the entire city and calgary has a huge footprint. You can bike it for years and still not have ridden every path. Many paths are ploughed in winter , especially closer to the city core.

We started cycling by the river with our kids going to school that took us from Montgomery to Crowchild trail along the bike pathway. So much fun that we have continued to explore as far as Highway 22. Amazing that you can travel so far...More

The city of Calgary has many pathways for hiking , biking that a normally open all year round and are easily accessible from all parts of the city.

This was actually one of my favorite experiences while in Calgary. Great walkway to enjoy with friends, family, a significant other, a dog, or solo. Crisp, clean air, and a nice break from the city.

We only experienced the pathways along the river near the central city area. Lovely scenery, autumn colours in the trees.a very pleasant area to take a walk.
