A good place

Good place to spend a few hours while walking near the riverfront in Calgary. We stayed 2 minutes away from the place so was the first thing that we visited while in Calgary.

Very small museum that has as much to show on the outside as inside. I have been to many museums in China that are very extensive with pottery and prints so I am a bit spoiled.

This is a great place to learn a bit of history about Chinese, exhibits, with some emphasis on the Chinese in Calgary. The museum is not big, but it contains a very good synopsis of Chinese history and artifacts. Exhibits include a sample replica of the Xian terra-cotta soldiers, horses, and carriage. model of earliest Seismography, first earthquake detector back... More

The place has beautiful chinese prints on the wall. It is a great place to see some pieces of the Chinese art.

My daughter and i found this interesting but quite small. The lady at the reception at the museum was so helpful and friendly and we sat and spoke to her for at least half an hour after. She was very interesting. She should have been a tour guide.

To begin with the structure itself is unusually pretty and different from it's surroundings, although it is bordering Chinatown. The museum itself is of course depicts chinese culture and that alone makes it interesting enough because it is so different.

I visited the Museum with my husband, as we both are history lovers. We liked the exhibits that were on display however, it was like paying 4 dollars for just 4 exhibits, there's not much that you can explore inside the museum. Mainly the terracotta statues with a few posters describing them in detail, royal furniture where one can count... More
