We did the Monkintsis Tour on St. Patrick Island in Calgary. Tara Many Chief Wright is an excellent tour guide and a great story teller. She presented information in a very relaxed and enjoyable manner. She took plenty of time to answer all of our questions and actually stayed with us almost an hour after the tour was over. This tour was well worth the money to get an honest depiction of the life of First Nations people in Canada.

We joined the Mohkinstsis Tour and Tarra Wright Many Chief was our excellent and very knowledgeable guide. After a very short time you felt like you could ask her anything.
We did an easy walk along the river and got lots of fascinating insights into the Blackfoot culture, history and the life nowadays.

The tour took more than two hours and we were never bored at any stage. After one hour we had the opportunity to use toilets.

I can highly recommend this tour to both people who are new to the topic and those who have already visited many museums/culture centers and want to know more about the First Nations.

This is a really great experience.

Tara is very knowledgable and passionate about the First Nations people of the Calgary area. She talks from a very personal perspective and educates and informs rather than lectures. Even though it was a very cold day she left me feeling enlightened. Highly recommended as a must do experience

I took this tour in 2021. Every one should take this tour. A blend of interesting cultural beliefs and details about relationship with government, past and present.
My heart hurt a lot during this tour, but we need to hear the truth and face it in order to make progress to improve. When I grew up school did not do a good job on teaching this and that is a diservice.

Do it, let your heart hurt and get passionate for change.
We are long overdue for a tour like this, I am so happy it exists

Absolutely wonderful experience. I highly recommend this walking tour with Tara Manychief. As Calgarians, it is of vital importance that we learn about First Nations culture and history from First Nations themselves and broaden our understanding of Treaty 7 and what this means for us all in modern day. Thanks Tara
