In downtown Calgary, this plaza was built for the medals ceremony in the 1988 Winter Olympics. It is a nice place to meet and sit. Just off the C train. You can walk to the Famous Five statues found at one end of the plaza.

Such a nice area to enjoy! Even on a rainy day, the statues, bricks, and everything is a well maintained part of the Calgary olympics

Skating here in the winter is a blast! Near Christmas the lights and music are festive and is a good way to burn off the holiday calories! :) Would go back again, and again, especially if my friends were there!:)

like the lay out and the sculptures in the area. Did not like the homeless and rowdy teens hanging out, who were shouting at one another - made me uncomfortable. But they did not bother anyone I was walking with in anyway.
