On November 12th a friend and I took the 1.5 hour flight with Classic Canadian Tours from Saskatoon to Churchill. We left around 7:30am and on the flight were served a delicious hot breakfast while we were educated about the polar bears. Once we arrived at the airport, we boarded waiting buses and had about a 20 minute bus ride... More

I realize the cost of getting into such an isolated community and the fact that a person just can't go on their own, however, the rickety school buses after a grueling 6-7 hour ride on a bouncy, slow tundra buggy was a definite disappointment. The small bowl of soup and a bun for lunch was not enough for some people...I... More

Took the one day tour from Saskatoon. Expected it to be a tiny airplane, but was a full 737, 120 people were on the tour, which meant three buggies in Churchill. Had great weather, which was good. During the flight there they gave a bit of information while and a good omelet breakfast. As the flight is chartered you can... More

Amazing doesn't begin to describe this trip. Seeing sixteen polar bears in one day, one so close that could almost reach out of the tundra buggy and touch it, was incredible. Classic Canadian Tours has organized a day that, while long, was well organized and first class. We felt invited and welcomed into the world of the polar bear. While... More

We had a great trip to Churchill with Classic Canadian Tours! The flight from Calgary was fast and enjoyable - a little over 2 hours. Canadian North airlines was fantastic. The flight crew was very friendly and helpful. Plus you can park right at their terminal for free and there are no security lines. During the first hour of the... More

Traveled with Classic Canadian Tours on November 1, 2015: I was one of a group of eight people traveling together on this Safari. Classic Canadian Tours (CCT) made sure our group was seated together on the plane to and from Churchill and were assigned to the same Tundra Buggy (the entire group of travelers on this Safari, approx. 135 people,... Friday Oct 23 2015 we went to Churchill Manitoba to see the polar bears. I really wanted to go there because I am very worried about the future of the polar bears. We went by plane first thing in the morning to Churchill from Calgary, Alberta and were transported by bus to the tundra. Three were not enough seats on... More

Okay, so this certainly isn't a cheap activity, but it is well worth it! Overall, I felt that the tour was very well-organized - even though the group was large, everything ran very smoothly. The guides were very informative, and everyone involved was quite helpful. My only complaint, and this is a minor one, was the food - I mean,... More

When my granddaughter was 3 she and grandpa were watching a show about polar bears. She asked" where do they live, grandpa?" "The wild" he replied. "Can we go there?" and that is all it took. So we have been planning this trip for 6 years. It was everything we expected and then some. The staff and naturalists on the... More
