Although I didn't much like the current exhibition, the gallery itself was a great space, and clearly flexible. It desperately needs to be better promoted, though - my family, who live in Calgary, only got to hear about it because my mother was taken there by her retirement community. It was deserted when we visited.

If you love contemporary art, don't miss the shows at the Esker Foundation gallery. Firstly, it's free, and I love that! Secondly, the shows they feature are thoughtfully and intelligently curated. Thirdly, it's in the heart of Inglewood with all the excellent shops and restaurants. Fourthly, the buildings is a great architectural piece, and inside the gallery are some stunning... More

Sometimes weird, sometimes esoteric, sometimes amusing and always thoughtful...The Esker Foundation isn't for everyone, but should be for everyone. Calgary isn't just oil and gas. It is a youthful city brimming with entrepreneurial spirit and a love for anything contemporary. With that in mind, the Esker Foundation does not disappoint. It offers up 10,000 square feet of stark white walls... More

A lovely fairly new art gallery in Inglewood on the fourth floor of a modern retail building, this lofty space has wonderful contemporary art and in the Northwest corner there's a small seating area with art books to browse through and a great view of Calgary's skyline. Admission is free, open late Thursdays and Fridays. A great addition to your... More

What a lovely hidden gem! Interesting, thought-provoking art in a quiet, uncrowded building with parking on street or parking garage. It was worth the stop!

My Husband and I were walking through Inglewood one day and decided to check out the Esker Gallery. Although we were in search of inspiration for our "big white wall" - esker gallery transfixed us. I wish I could explain what keeps us coming back in words - but I cannot. Please just go. And enjoy. Be enriched!

There were two main shows on here when we went to visit, which were both by fairly high-profile artists. The shows were well curated, and the space of the gallery itself is wonderful. The small catalogue that we were given to accompany the shows was of a high quality, and the pieces written by the curators for the respective shows... More

If you are visiting Inglewood and like contemporary art, be sure to stop into this gallery. It is free of charge and they bring in selected artists. They had three artists when we dropped in this week - a multimedia artist and two photographers. The building itself is a piece of artwork that is worth the visit.

This place is great. They showcase high quality exhibits that are worldly and local interest alike. Admission is free--take advantage of this! The architecture of the building itself is stunning and the exhibition space is open and inspiring. Exhibits change up every once and a while so keep an eye out for what is new.
