A few of my friends and I participated in the virtual escape room - Billy Bonkers Candy Factory. It was an awesome experience, and a great way to spend a Friday night. Kyle was a great host, he made sure everyone could hear and see the screen okay before we began. I would definitely recommend doing this during a global pandemic!

This room is an awesome story telling, puzzle style escape. We liked that it wasn't a live webcam room, but instead a uniquely created room for worldwide friends to connect while in lockdown or quarantine. We had such a fun time and can't wait to try the other rooms. Eric was the host of a lifetime. He was patient, funny, articulate and helpful.

I booked a virtual event for my team of 18 for a remote holiday event. I've done a few in-person escape rooms before but wasn't sure what to expect from a completely online game via Zoom. I'm happy to say the experience was thoroughly enjoyed by everybody! We split into 3 teams and gamemasters led each group through the Scrooge game. Our gamemaster was fantastic including his voice work. The game design was a good mix between "room" exploring and puzzle solving. The zoom format worked great and my team had an awesome time. Would definitely book again!

8 of us participated in the 'Forbidden Temple' at the Calgary northeast location last week. We spent a significant amount of time fighting with temperamental clues. In the end we didn't finish as the last challenge was actually broken. Staff seemed apathetic to the whole situation. Would recommend another provider of this sort of entertainment over 'The Locked Room'.

We decided to check out The Mutiny on the High Seas, with 3 adults and 5 teens, this week. The room was well laid out and the puzzles were challenging. We did ask for a few hints and managed to get out with a few minutes left on the clock! We have done a few others in the city but this one was one of my favs! We will head back and try out the others rooms, The Locked Room offers. Staff was great too!

We have done a few locked rooms in person with our group of friends. We have missed activities with them. This is a great way to see our friends and do the locked room.
We weren’t sure about doing the locked room virtually but thought we’d give it a try.
Jeff was our host and game master, he was fantastic and the game was fun! The puzzles were fun and challenging, and we stumbled on them like we would if we were in the room.
It was great to see our friends and do something fun together in our homes while the pandemic is going on. It also allowed for some different puzzles and clues that would not be possible in person.
I would highly recommend this with friends and family.

My two daughters and I had a great time at The Locked Room in NE Calgary. We played the Game Over room and had a blast. It was fun seeing my girls solve puzzles and the joy they got from it. Staff were very friendly and fun setting things up and helping when we needed it.

Was really excited to do this with my 14 year old gamer and husband, as we've never done an escape room. For the $80 I had pre-paid, I was expecting a much more exciting, challenging, diverse, and higher quality experience. COMPLETE RIP OFF! The owners of this company should be ashamed to charge what they do for the hour (but sure they are making a fortune in profit margin!!!!). Perhaps the other rooms are better quality and a range of challenges, but the "B Bit" room consisted of a small room, sloppily painted, with a couple cabinets from Walmart or Target, cheap Mario Stickers stuck on the wall, a few old plush toys, and a few locks from the Home Depot. I could make this in my house for $50 tops. My son knows his gaming inside out, but the clues were lame and the challenges not varied in any way. The place is located in a strip mall and, although the young man giving us the introduction was pleasant, the girl who came in afterwards was even more bored than we were with the experience. She barely showed us anything, could care less, as she mumbled a couple of things and got combinations wrong. This place seems to take no pride in the product it's giving out, the staff, or the client experience. Just in the EXTRAORDINARY GAUGING PRICE it charged. Obviously, to say we were disappointed would be an understatement, as boredom turned to frustration and anger. Again, perhaps the other rooms are better for problem solving, puzzles, and team work. This room is not!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

We're sorry that our escape room didn't meet your expectations. Feel free to contact us if you would like to go into detail on what we could do better and what we can do to make up for your escape room experience. We are always looking for feedback, positive or negative.
To clarify on some points that were made on the 8-bit adventure:
Decor/Furniture: The 8-bit adventure is meant to mimic a video game experience with very colourful and bright rooms. Most high quality furniture didn't have the look we were going for in this room.
Size of the room: The 8-bit adventure consists of 3 rooms (players subsequently solve puzzles in order to move from room 1 to room 2 & 3). The total area of the 3 rooms is on par with our other escapes. The choice to do 3 smaller rooms instead of 1 big room was made in this adventure to make it feel like completing levels, as in a video game.
Lock/puzzle variation: We feel like the room has a lot of unique puzzle variation to offer - without going into puzzle specifics for obvious reasons the room consists of 6 different types of locks - keypad, keyed, number, letter, magnetic lock and a safe). There are also hi-tech puzzles that make use of lasers and electronics in the room.

We visited The Locked Room on our last date night with 4 other friends. We played the 8 bit room and had a blast. Our group of friends love puzzle and game nights and this was a great experience for us, the staff was friendly and polite and the room was challenging but not frustrating. We escaped with no hints in about 40 minutes which flew by as you were very into the game. I recommend this to all the gamer and puzzlers out there for a fantastic game/date night.

I'm from Toronto and one of my Calgary friends recommended us to do an escape room, The staff are not only amazing but the rooms are beyond awesome, from the music, to the props, to the critical thinking. I've escaped from two of their rooms (cause one wasn't enough) the wine cellar and the pirate one and both were 10/10. Would highly recommend to anyone that is up for a challenge.

We do have air conditioning, and we make sure the lobby is comfortable, but it does not circulate into the rooms as well. The rooms can get a bit warm as you play, but the lobby is nice and cool for before and after your adventure!
