The views of the city and the river from this trolley car are absolutely amazing. This is also the best way to get from the farmer's market to downtown.

jump on train on the downtown side and ride across the High-level bridge to the Old farmers market shop and take the train back and jump in your car and go home no trouble parking downtown on a Saturday, Its a fun ride, and fun to remember that you don't have to ride these trains any more

Great fun and enjoyment for the entire family. Spectacular scenery and super fun! Exciting views of the city and surrounding areas that the whole family will enjoy. Combine this with a Fringe experience for a great taste of our history and culture.

Great for both grandparents and grandkids alike specially if the wind is blowing and the streetcar is swaying while on top of the High Level Bridge and you are looking down on the river valley

Great way to get across the river. You will travel from Old Strathcona to Downtown on top of the 100 year old High Level Bridge. The street cars vary in age but they have all been lovingly restored to their former glory. The volunteers love chatting about these street cars so if you are interested in their history, you won't... More

I suggest making this part of a whole Saturday spent at the Old Strathcona Farmer"s Market. Take the LRT to the streetcar terminal downtown, then let yourself drift to yesteryear as you enjoy the clickety-clack over the rails across the river. Really good activity for the family!

If you want to save a few steps going to and from Old Strathcona, the streetcar over the High Level Bridge is a cheap and fun way to travel. Volunteers run the streetcars so it is also a labour for them. The whole family will enjoy the adventure.

In the mid 1900's there was a trolley service in Edmonton. A bridge was built over the North Saskatchewan River to accommodate both the motor vehicle traffic and the Train as well. Most interesting of this bridge is the fact the train tracks were in fact buit above the vehicle traffic. This is the same today. A restored trolley car... More
