Hi.
We have been season tickets holders for many years. The food quality and variety has gone in the wrong direction especially in the past 5 years. Less variety - causing “same old-same old” attitude-and quality is about a 70 % of previous. Really. This is Edmontons Premium Dinner Theatre and it’s lost the Premium title for sure. Prices have increased with product declined. We will not renew our tickets. We will come to a few shows we like - perhaps if they turn it around we will one again get a seasons ticket.
One more thing - it’s always darn cold in there and we noted others saying this and wearing their coats and sweaters.

Turn up the heat!!! You won’t go broke.

Hopefully the organization will reflect on our comments and act upon them as we can hear several displeasure comments from regulars.

Food and show were excellent as per normal. . However this particular Sunday Matinee had the sound way too loud even though we were at the very back row. Sound Fellow said that sound level is that way every time. Our group of 6 had massive headaches and ringing ears and even though we have been going for decades, we will not be back.

The Mayfield is our best spot for an evening out. Prime rib and the Yorkshire puddings are great. And what can I say about the service ... we only go there once every 3 months and the server remembers what wine we like. The performances are usually pretty good - probably not Broadway quality but I guess it's not Broadway, eh !

We have enjoyed being season ticket holders for over 20 years. Some shows are good, while others are outstanding. The "Vegas Live" show was in terribly poor taste! Even though there was a "warning" posted about the content, we could not have imagined a more disgraceful performance! We were horrified by the content and embarrassed that we had taken friends with us. We had to walk out during the performance!!!

Thank you for your feedback regarding your experience at the Mayfield Dinner Theatre to see the Vegas Live! performance. We apologize that this show made you feel this way. As it was a new take on the Vegas theme, the feedback received for the show was all over the spectrum from spectacular to not appreciated. As the Mayfield values it's patrons, the Artistic Director sent out a correspondence to the Season Ticket holders to touch base about the season thus far and what to expect upcoming. We hope you were able to speak to someone to discuss your concerns with the provided contact information. We have recently revealed our Season for 2023/2024 and we hope that this line up will appeal to your tastes! Please contact the Box Office at (780)483-4051 or e-mail at tickets@mayfieldtheatre.ca for more information.

Food was good as always but lineups were way too long and crowded at the buffet and we were there early. Staff was nice as always. The music part of the Vegas Live production was awesome but the girl named Freaky who filled in the dead air in between acts was childish and vulgar and certainly didn't add to the fun.

Good morning and thank you for taking the time to review your recent attendance to the Mayfield Dinner Theatre. We apologize that you felt the delays in the buffet were significant. We do our best to help guide lines of guests to both entrances of the buffet to better streamline the flow in the buffet area. As we make this work with attendance counts upwards of 485 guests, it is not always a perfect system and we will do our best to stay on top of monitoring this moving forward. Thank you for your kind words about the service staff, band and talent. We understand that not all aspects of a show resonate with each guest and we thank you for your feedback regarding character choices. We will take your comments into consideration when designing future performances. Once again, thank you for your review. We look forward to hosting you back in the future!

As always, the meal at the Mayfield Dinner Theatre was awesome, but too many options contained dairy.
Staff were welcoming and professional.
The Vegas Live show had great musicians and vocal performers. However the performers' skills were overshadowed by the infantile and dismal writing that made the members of my group cringe.
Since the show was Vegas themed, we expected some adult content, but the corny scripted dialogue, and juvenile jokes in between the musical performances, left us believing that the writers were non-professional.
Since Wayne Newton is one of the mainstays of Las Vegas, he deserved more respect from the writers who made a mockery of him.
What was the purpose of the dinosaur costumes on stage? More bad writing?
After a couple of years of Lockdowns, we attended this show to have a relief of world events, only to be barraged by the Russia/Ukraine politics in the musical number "Mr. President." This had nothing to do with Vegas entertainment, and totally tainted any further musical performances in that show!
This performance is NOT worth the money! We expected more form the Mayfield.
The writing did not do justice to the amazing vocalists and Musicians.

Thank you for taking the time to review your recent attendance to the Mayfield Dinner Theatre. Your feedback is important to us and your comments will be passed along to the necessary departments. We appreciate your hat tip to the food and the talent of the band and actors, but we are sorry to see that the show as a whole did not align with your expectations. We understand that not every show will align with all Patrons' interests, but we do our best to cater to as many of our guests as possible. We had a lot of positive feedback and negative feedback for Vegas Live!, but we appreciate both types as this helps us best direct our business moving forward. We hope to be able to host you back at the Mayfield for a night that better suits your tastes.

Saw Vegas Live last night. Past shows were excellent. In the Vegas show, performers were good but somewhat disappointed at the corny banter that sometimes was between music sets that reminded me of the inferior Jubilations at West Edmonton Mall. What's next; Getting people from the audience on stage for their birthdays?!
As well, where were the traditional acts such as Elvis. The older music that actually made Vegas was not addressed, except a mockery of Wayne Newton. Ummm--No Celine?
As my group went to Mayfield Theatre to forget the constant barrage of daily biased news stories, we were disappointed to see that Russian/Ukraine politics were inserted into the show in the song "Mr. President". This performance involved movie reels of anti-Russian protests, that amounted to a very biased worship of NATO (The organization that actually started the hostilities); with a long time focus on the signs that said: "Putin-Burn in Hell"
As in other performances, the musicians, and vocalists were excellent, but the producer needs to be fired for tainting the performance with political content!
The Buffet was great, as usual, and I was having a good time up until "Mr. President" and didn't expect THAT after paying for my entire group!

The Vegas Live show was brutal. The show itself was confusing as the main character spoke to the audience as if she was a small child with an annoying voice, but this was paired with rude vulgar jokes that were inappropriate for families and young children. Don’t waste your money on this show. The food as usual was very good. The entertainment was terrible. I would not be happy paying to see this show if it wasn’t part of the dinner and evening. We chose to stay for the entire show, but the performances were so bad and the jokes were something you would have heard in a jr high playground. Jokes about banana’s in your pants and the like are not clever and boring to hear and see. This went on for the entire show.

Thank you for your feedback regarding your visit to the Mayfield Theatre. We are sorry to hear that Vegas Live! did not resonate with you. We understand that our shows do not cater to all tastes, but we hope that you are able to attend another show this season that will better relate to your interests. Your comments regarding the show's dialogue will be passed on to the Artistic Director and Director of Production for consideration. Since the opening of the show, the script has seen some revisions and updates to try to reduce any possible unnecessary content that may be seen as offensive to some viewers. Please understand that this script did not receive as many changes as the Mayfield would normally consider due to our upcoming show in the spring, Rock of Ages. This Broadway style show has significantly heavier content and Vegas Live! was meant to be a light humor show that allowed us to introduce some edgier content prior to it's debut. Thank you for your feedback regarding the quality of food and service. We are happy that you were able to enjoy the buffet and that it met your expectations of quality that we continually deliver. Once again, thank you for your comments. We hope that you love any experiences for the remainder of the season and we look forward to hosting you again.

Las Vegas Live” Mayfield Dinner Theatre, Edmonton, Alberta
Having been to Las Vegas numerous times, I was excited to have “Las Vegas Live” come to the Mayfield DinnerTheatre. Memories of dance revues, celebrities, and bright lights came to mind.
As part of a captive audience, I was surprised that the spotlight was continually pushing the LBGTQ+ agenda. The jokes were foul and the gestures suggestive.
This dark theme overshadowed an otherwise talented musical performance. I have always been a fan of the Mayfield Dinner Theatre, bringing my entire family to fabulous performances and delicious buffets. I would not recommend this show to families, but would consider it to be bordering on “Adult” entertainment. In future I will carefully screen any shows at the Mayfield, and opt for “family friendly” venues instead.

Thank you for your feedback regarding your visit to the Mayfield Theatre. We are sorry to hear that Vegas Live! did not resonate with you. We understand that our plays do not cater to all tastes, but we hope that you are able to attend another show this season that will better relate to your interests. This season was designed to bring in fresh themes and modernized culture with the intention of attracting new patronage to the theatre as our Season Ticket base has significantly decreased since Covid. We apologize that you felt the content was a "pushed agenda" however, as is seen in modern day Hollywood and pop culture, there is a major emphasis on people being themselves and learning to be inclusive and accepting of each other which, is not meant to be "dark" but loving. We are not promoting the themes to the audience, simply incorporating these existing themes into a show designed around Vegas as seen today. I hope that you can understand the need of the Mayfield to depart a strictly 60s, 70s and 80s era to incorporate more modern genres with the hopes that the art and entertainment displayed in the Mayfield can be enjoyed by as many people as possible. I hope you were able to enjoy the food and service during the buffet portion of your evening at least. Once again, thank you for your comments. We hope that you are able to enjoy any future attendances for the remainder of the season and we look forward to hosting you again.
