Lovely building and great venue for any convention or event. The catering provided for our event was good. Very clean with a gorgeous view of the valley. Currently under mild construction for another elevator as well. Close to many local eats and shops as well as local transit and hotels. My one and only complaint is the very strong smell... More

I had a conference here and enjoyed the venue. The food that was served was pretty good and was a great selection even if you had dietery concerns as someone in our group did. Nice location downtown close to lots of hotels

I hate writing negative reviews, and try to find something positive to say about everyone/thing - but I have nothing good to say about this venue. The staff. Rude. Unfriendly. We were here for a concert, and it was clear the security guard in charge of crowd management/the lineup didn't have a clue what he was doing. How hard is... More

This facility is built into the banks of a river. It's on a cliff. If you want to get to the conference area, you have to descend hundreds of feet. Normally, there is a down escalator. Not so, not now. Some cheeky sign blatting "You don't miss the escalator until it's gone" is hardly going to help old people, infirm... More

Hello, Thank you very much for your feedback. As you've seen, our 30 year old escalators are being modernized so that we can improve the experience for all our patrons. While 3 of 6 escalators have been replaced, unfortunately an exact timeline/date cannot be presented as with all major projects timelines do vary. However, we can guarantee that the escalators... Was a guest at a wedding. The River room(?) was the venue, with a panoramic view of the river valley. The room itself is large, multi purpose convention style. Layout of the room was good; not going to say much as it is pretty well a standard setting. Meal was buffet style, with a selection of cold appetizers, salads, hot... More

Nothing to see here as just a tourist though the balconey has a good view of the River Valley. Hotel MacDonald just down the way has a patio with just as good view and you can get a drink or soemthing to eat. Food and service here were excellent and I ahve been here better than a dozen times for... More

Staff are very friendly and helpful. Security was fantastic. Layout is a bit odd. Long travel to get from upper saloons to the main freight elevators by the loading docs. Main freight elevator not as large as expected therefore some equipment had to be carried by hand up the escalators. Overall the Shaw centre has everything you can possibly need... More

I always appreciate it when EDM shows are held at the Shaw and that was my only experience there until last week. I know the tour organizers tend to be the ones contributing most to the production quality of those shows but I always assumed that the venue itself was a big part of that. Upon attending a high school... More

Hello, Thank you for providing your valuable feedback. We pride ourselves in delivering exceptional experiences to all our guests. Unfortunately, the recent graduation event was not up to our culinary standards. Clients are responsible for menu selection, and we recognize what was selected was not at the same standard as the numerous graduation functions we host throughout the year. We... More
