We drove 1 hr distance to tour the park and hope to see any type of wildlife. Very disappointed. Did see a herd of Buffalo on a farm.

It was drizzling and a little dreary when I visited so most of the animals weren’t out and about. I did some hiking, they have nice trails. Wish I would have seen more wildlife though.

We passed through this park for the first time in probably twenty years. We were scouting out camping sites which would be very good for tenting or smaller trailer units. Only one or two for larger vehicles (except in a special area which had sites...More

Camping at Elk Island National Park in the fall has to be one of my favourite trips. The scenery is beautiful and the campground is well-maintained. Although the sites are unserviced, there are very clean washrooms (flush toilets, showers), dishwashing stations, fresh water stations, and...More

Took the family for a nice walk at the park on Sunday. We chose the 12.2 km walk which was a little long for our old dog but we all made it. The paths are mostly grass but be aware they are trails so you...More

There is a camping area that you have to make reservations for. And there is a open bbq area near a lake too. I'm 99% sure you are not allowed to fish here.
