I have been to this mall several time . It’s not a very busy mall maybe because it doesn’t have free parking. It manny good brands with ample sitting area. You can’t get a better place then this for your shopping needs.

I visit this mall on a weekly basis and am very pleased. The mall is very easily accesable by the train (LRT) and is not hard to find whatsoever. The mall is always super clean and polished, it is an upper middle class based mall so it's more geared towards people who aren't looking for cheap thrills. The mall layout can be very confusing at times but there are maps and friendly security to help you figure it out, An added bonus is the theater inside the mall which is always quiet and cheap, it's defiently worth a visit!

A block away from this downtown mall is the Edmonton tourist info centre in the World Trade Centre on the corner of Jasper & 100th. It is on the 3rd floor, no signs on the outside of the building, maybe that's why I was the only visitor. Free WiFI, super friendly staff, was offered coffee and left with lots of information, such as paper maps of Edmonton, Guide to downtown, brochures for historical walking, driving or biking tours, a River Valley map.

This mall looks like it is dying on its feet. Too many empty shops, not much to look at and very little to tempt us back. The vast amount of beggars hanging about each entrance and within the mall might well discourage people to visit.

I was invited by my daughter who has a travel blog to do an overnight to Edmonton (from Toronto area)-Thursday to Friday. I told her if it was Friday to late Saturday I would go so I could join Julie at her weekly vigil outside the Edmonton Valley Zoo. Lucy the elephant has been locked up there for almost 50 years with a sanctuary spot waiting for her for 10, travel expenses fully paid for. Lucy has been forced to paint for decades with acrylic paint which vets and tradesmen all say causes innumerable problems including respiratory and skin. The zoo claims because of respiratory problems, it is unsafe for Lucy to move. The zoo has several hundred dollars of her work in gift shop and is owned by the City of Edmonton. Keeping her, foregoing free medical check by an elephant specialist offered by Cher and Free the Wild (as opposed to a biased zoo vet), and denying her the very basic of elephant necessities (therapeutic pool for her arthritis), structures to scratch against, mud pits has caused the very bad taste the zoo has left me about anything Edmonton. City council would do well to note the negative reputation of Edmonton by keeping Lucy.

Nothing wrong, because you stay out of the way of the loose ends. Money changer quite helpful, did not have to pay the fee, ( well I am a senior). Theatres, shopping, eateries, got it all even a big "Dollarama". Then go to the other side of 101st. For more..

Haven't been to this mall in sometime, and happened to be staying at the Delta so figured I would take a stroll through to see what's changed.. I've been in the Security / Enforcement field for the last 18 years, so I tend to see more sometimes than the average person will..

- High number of homeless individuals can be found congregating in the food courts, many of these folks are intoxicated (drugs, alcohol or maybe both).. Some of these folks obviously don't like each other so you could tell where the tension was.. Few of these folks were eyeing up stores, others eyeing up people's purses/bags that were on the floors..

- Number of gangs hanging around as well during one stroll to get some food... One group didn't like another one that was near by and got to watch a screaming match take place. No security anywhere seen, after a few shoves and finger waving they took off..

When Security was seen, some appeared to be wearing no vest protection whatsoever but the bright yellow jackets (great target practice I guess..) I did see one Female Security officer deal with one stupidly drunk native woman pretty professionally in the food court..

I'm sure the mall is great during the daytime hours, but as the saying goes 'Watch your 6' if venturing out at night!

I visited this Mall just recently when in town for the weekend. I actually only had couple of hours to kill on a Sunday and decided to head to the Landmark Movie Theatre located in this mall and check out some of the stores. It turned out to be a surprisingly good spot, especially if you’re in downtown and not willing to travel to WEM or other big malls. The cinema was great, very clean, not too busy, with the chairs big and reclining a bit, and cheaper than the theatre at WEM ($9.99 for a matinee on Sunday). Some of the stores are: the Hudson Bay, really nice Club Monaco store (bigger than the one at WEM), The Body Shop, David’s Tea, Aldo and Nine West shoe stores, as well as Winners, Shoppers; there’s also Starbucks in there and a TD branch with ATMs which can be handy. The Mall has a great location, only few blocks from some of the main downtown hotels and attractions like City Hall, Art Gallery of Alberta, 4th Street Promenade, so definitely a very handy spot for all leisure and business travellers staying or visiting downtown Edmonton.

This is a great place to shop if you are staying for working downtown. There are numerous different small and mid size stores, including a couple of big ones (The Bay, Atmosphere/Sport Chek), as well as a variety of coffee spots and a cinema. This center also has medical and beauty services available if that is what you are looking for.

I didn't see a lot of food choices, however, they just announced a major renovation to the food court, so there likely will be in future.

It is close to transit, Jasper Ave and City Hall also, if you want to explore more. But if you are looking to stay indoors out of the elements, this is a good place to be.
