Attended here with an elementary school and a family visit. Kids enjoyed the large equipment outdoors, playing inside with the different stations. With the school, they created science experiments which made the kids use their thinking caps and left them in awe and wanting to learn more.

Spent 2 hours wandering through the exhibits. The presentation and displays were visually attractive. Lots of hands on activities for kids to explore and learn with. Additionally great info panels outlining the development of the Sands to modern day extraction.

This was a good place to take visitors from outside of the area. Also, for locals who need more education on what exactly it is that we are doing here. A lot of information on the bitumen, and the processes and equipment that we use to extract it. Highly interactive.

Good for both adults seeking the science and history if the oil sands, and a great place for young ones to run around and interact with displays. Admission also included a movie on the history, and was really well done. You probably don't need more than an hour to get through the museum without the movie, plus the extra 45... More

We find ourselves visiting this town in hopes of viewing the northern lights. There is little to do in town so finding out about this place was welcome. We visit for about 90 minutes, viewing films, demonstrations, and exploring exhibits. We were completely unaware of oil sands and the technology for extraction and just how big this industry is in...
