I LOVE the mountains, especially the Canadian Rockies, and there really is no better place to view them than on top of Whistlers Mountain outside of Jasper, AB. Taking the tram to the top gives great opportunities for pictures and to take in the majesty and splendor around you...and once you are on top of the mountain, it only gets... More

Whistlers Mountain is a few miles outside the town of Jasper, so we arranged transport from Sundog Tours. The mountain is 8100 feet high, but the Upper Station of the Jasper Sky Tram at 7472 feet was plenty good enough for us. (We admire those who can hike to the summit.) We were greeted by ground squirrels, pikas, marmots and... More

It's a long way to the summit from the Sky Tram station, but it's worth it. The views are amazing. We also saw ground squirrels, ptarmigan, chipmunks and pika. Take care crossing the big ice floe.

Really nice to see in the summer, very scenic and the views from the top are fantastic - also the cable-car between Whistler mountain and Blackcomb mountain is worth riding

This is the mountain which has the Jasper Sky Train taking people most of the way to the summit. Once off the tram, there is a fairly steep hike of about one and a half kilometres to the summit. On the day of our visit, there was snow on the trail so we decided not to do the walk, especially... More

Shared this experience with others on the HF Holiday adventure. Took the Jasper SkyTram and felt quite safe with the experienced flight attendant. I was proud of myself for getting to the top after a long climb, but it is definitely worth it for the view. Saw a family of ptarmigan, which was difficult to photograph because they were so... The hike starts off easy and gradually becomes harder as you hike up the mountain. The description is pretty accurate- it takes about 3-5 hours to hike to summit depending on your fitness level. I started the hike at 8 am and reached the sky team station in 2.5 hours and another 30 min to the summit. The hardest part... More

It was sunny and warm at the tram station in Jasper. We bought our ticket and waited for about six trams full of people to launch before it was our turn (maybe 45 minutes). We passed the time taking photos and drinking Starbucks. We then stood in line the moment they announced the group before us - so we would... More

Fantastic views and relatively easy walking at the top. There are well marked trails and really incredible views of Jasper and surrounding mountains incl Mt Robson.
