Sunwapta Falls We stopped here on the way to Jasper off of the Icefields Parkway to stretch our legs, use the porta-potty and take some photos of what nature has to offer. There is a free parking lot with a couple of porta-potties. From there,...More

Just a short drive off the Icefields Parkway, this spot is a good chance to stretch your legs and take a bit of a hike in nature. The path is rough with rocks and routes, so sturdy footwear is a must. A good place to...More

Sunwapta Falls are beautiful and look amazing and are a great spot for photographs. They are a quick stop between Jasper - Lake Louise on the Icefield Parkway. Beautiful Falls, worth stopping for.

Make sure to hike the trail also to the lower falls, to espace the tourist crowd of the upper falls. It is definitely worth the walk.

Definitely glad we stopped to visit the falls. Very impressive and fast flowing. The car park gets very busy and there's toilets. You can do a hike but we just enjoyed the falls and took lots of photos

Easy access form the highway, about midway from Jasper to the Columbia Icefields discovery centre, these falls are worth stopping by. Good parking is available, amenities at hand, paved walkways, and gushing waterfalls. Really enjoyable stop

Yes, you drive right through the area. The visitor's center is across the highway from the glacier.
