One of the most beautiful places in the world: Lake Louise, Canada.
Exquisitely turquoise Lake Louise with the mountains behind is one of the most beautiful places on earth. You can take a hike around the lake, and have dinner at Château Lake Louise. It was one of the most memorable vacations we have ever taken short of the Himalayas in Nepal.

I drove almost this entire road except for the last eleven (11) miles. The views were out of a movie.
Nearly all of the significant attractions of Banff National Park and Jasper National Park were off of the Icefields Parkway. In order to take a drive on this road, individuals had to purchase a cheap park pass for access. Both national parks were covered under the park pass. The money spent to ride this road was definitely worth the cost. I almost drove the entire road from Lake Louise to Jasper, but I had to avoid the last eleven (11) miles insofar as I needed to make my reservation at the Columbia Icefield! While this road was very long and time-consuming, I would definitely encourage people to take their time with the drives. The scenery could only be described as breathtaking, so I made many stops, and I took many small hikes.

    Unbelievable road
The Icefields Parkway is quite simply one of the best drives in the world, the views on the drive are stunning. We started at Lake Louise at spent 2 days on the road stopping off at Crowsfoot Glacier, Bow Lake, Peyto Lake, Waterfowl Lakes, Mistaya Canyon on the way through to our overnight at Rampart Creek Campground. Day 2 we took in the Weeping Wall, The Big Bend, Columbia Icefields, Goats & Glacier View and Athabasca Falls before arriving in Jasper. Everyone should experience this road at least once in their lifetime!

A lot to stop off and see
This is a road between Lake Louise and Jasper. We were on a tour and the bus went as far as Peyto Lake. It is well worth the drive as there is a lot to see even in the smaller stretch that we were on. The bus stopped at Crowfoot Glacier, Bow Lake and Peyto Lake, all very much worth seeing.

One of the most stunning drives in the world, not to be missed
One of the most stunningly beautiful drives you could ever do. This trip is not to be rushed and if you can split it over three days that's ideal. It's a half day drive south to north but you will be stopping time after time to soak in the serenity and breathtaking views. Their are many places to park and go for short walks or hikes through the surrounding countryside each of which is more amazing than the last. The views are some of the most beautiful of any on the planet,  you will be left open-jawed and saying WOW at every turn. Picture this - the most beautiful countryside with an opaque turquoise glacial river winding through it, then add the ominous backdrop of jagged peaks and mountain top glaciers. You will never forget this route,  it's so beautiful that your time here will be a truly emotional experience.

A truly memorable trip with scenery second to none.
We travelled along the Icefields Parkway with an organised trip with Brewsters buses. The trip included a walk on the Athabasca Glacier and lunch at the Altitude restaurant. Scenery was out of this world. Overall an experience to recommend to all our friends.

Sad to see the demise of a mighty glacier
An astonishing natural feature that is fading fast. The informative signage was quite sobering showing the fast retreat of this once magnificent glacier. You can park quite close to the face of the glacier and walk to get great views, even though some of it is covered in dirt at the sides which isn't immediately obvious. Afterwards, go to the Chalet for a hot chocolate and a warming home made soup. For a captive audience, these cooks put on tasty food and good value too.

    Rugged beauty
This was the 3rd time for us on the parkway, the first in 8 yrs. Besides some interesting waysides we enjoyed Athabasca and Sunwapta Falls, Athabasca Glacier, and Peyto Lookout in the day long drive through the parkway. You never tire of the raw beauty and it was noticeable how much the glacier had melted back in 8 yrs. This is a must see for nature lovers if anywhere near this area. I do look forward to a return visit in the future. It was amazing how many people were visiting in mid Sept, it felt like summer! The scenery is awesome with countless photographic opportunities.

    Scenic drive through the rockies
This is a really beautiful drive through the Canadian Rockies. However, every viewpoint along the way is very crowded with visitors, even in September. There are lots of places to stop along the parkway to enjoy a quick view of a waterfall or a glacier. I would recommend picking one hike that allows one to get away from the crowded lookout points.

Had a wonderful time with Logan
Had a wonderful trip to the Icefields with a phenomenal driver named Logan who was friendly and informative. You can tell safety is a priority for them. The glacier was beautiful and there was plenty of space and time to get the pictures and a taste of glacier water.

This was a new trip called Odyssey experience that they had just began in June at the icefield. Highly recommend this, Sebastian the guide was really knowledgeable and fun. This is a much smaller vehicle than the normal busses as it only holds around 6 people and the experience was fun from start to finish for the two hours. Have some fantastic photos on the glacier. Would highly recommend this, this is a bit more than going on the bigger busses but worth every penny.

230 km of stunning views. End of April, so mixed weather and still a lot of snow but also relatively quiet. Magnificent. Take your time. Do not rush.

Undoubtedly the most beautiful drive I have ever done. The Athabasca Falls, Sunwapta Falls and Peyto Lake were incredible. Even while frozen, everything was still so so beautiful

The Parkway encompasses a lot, overviews, trails, pullouts, the ice centre, glaciers and tourist spots. As a whole it is an experience that should not be rushed. Take it as it comes, with a plan because there are so many stops and "distractions" that you may not see all you like if you don't plan.
