This place is great. In the basement of a hotel, its pretty small but packed with great animals. Great opportunity to see them up close. Very good for a rainy day in Jasper

Found this little museum after asking the front desk, cost only $3 per per adult. Had several sections of some of the local (stuffed) animals in their natural settings. Was very interesting. Every animal is labeled in case you don't know what it is. Saw a few baby ones that I have never seen before.

This is in the basement of Whistlers Inn and was surprisingly good. The taxidermy was very good & the scenes were very real looking. There were a number of scenes & the place was bigger than we expected.

This must be the safest way to see Grizzly Bears and other Wildlife. Kind of sad that the animals were caught and stuffed, but from an educational point of view this place is invaluable! If you are in the area it's worth a visit.

Got into town on a rainy day and had some time to kill before we could check into our hotel. Price was $3 per person. Pay and get a token from the hotel front desk and head downstairs through the restaurant. It's a little display of about 100 taxidermied animals from around the region. It doesn't take long, but, if you want a quick, easy indoor activity, this isn't bad.

We find it difficult to find things to do with a 2.5y & 7m old when we travel, but this one is a winner! It was $6 for our family of 4, and well worth it. Our toddler enjoyed pointing to all the animals and saying their names. It kept his attention for about half hour, which was impressive. We could tell a lot of time was put into the display and enjoyed seeing the variety of animals. Only thing to note, strollers do not fit through the turnstile. Definitely recommend!

I think they charge everyone a dollar to see this stuffed 'Wildlife" at the basement of the Whistlers Hotel, they are dead but are real as it is difficult to see wildlife on a coach tour. If lucky one gets a glimmer of wildlife on the road so it is fascinating to see all those stuffed animals in this quaint little museum. Beside you get to use the clean toilets for free!

I've visited the museum about four times now, it's become a bit of a Jasper tradition for me. It's a great little stop to kill half and hour, probably the most affordable thing to do in Jasper at 3 bucks a person. There's definitely a variety of skill level happening for the taxidermy of the animals but the less skilled ones add some fun comedic value. Also a great way to get an up close view of many animals found in the park without the danger of approaching wild animals (please don't do that... Seriously.)

We visited the museum as we were given tokens for free from our server at Cassios where we had an amazing dinner! I never thought in a million years that I would enjoy a wildlife museum. Also I never thought of how many species of wildlife there are in the National Park but I was very impressed and enjoyed the experience. It was very well kept newly redone and very informative. I am so happy we didn't pass up this wonderful experience we had at The Whistlers Inn.

We have stayed at Whisters Inn a few times and each time we have visited the museum in the basement. Admission is free with a stay in the hotel and tokens can be had at the front desk. The specimens are a little old - probably a good 50 years old - but it is still enjoyable in an odd way - it's a mini natural history museum. Lots of variety of animals. Some of the taxidermy is a little funny, such as the angry beavers. Still, the animals are displayed in a respectful way.
Admission is through a turnstile, so strollers and wheelchairs cannot be accommodated.
