Didn't see this on Google maps so went to the reception desk of Whistler Inn. They told me the museum was closed and the collection would be moved elsewhere at some point.

I am honestly not sure how we ended up here for I am not really into taxidermy; however, the display is really well done, and definitely worth a visit if you are.

This is in the basement of Whistlers Inn and was surprisingly good. The taxidermy was very good & the scenes were very real looking. There were a number of scenes & the place was bigger than we expected.

Discovered this hidden museum in the basement of the Whistler’s Inn. It is free for guests and those that eat at the Italian Cassios Restaurant (great food). Reasonable $3 entry fee for others - ask at the hotel reception desk. You’ll find about 10 dioramas with mostly native animals. (I suspect it was a hunter’s private collection). Most were stuffed in the 1960’s. The scenes are simple but a safe way to see bears and moose up close. There are even tiny Pika’s and minks. It is accessible for Elderly with walkers (ask the staff to go down the elevator)
We spent about 20 minutes down there.

This must be the safest way to see Grizzly Bears and other Wildlife. Kind of sad that the animals were caught and stuffed, but from an educational point of view this place is invaluable! If you are in the area it's worth a visit.

We had just enjoyed a great Italian meal at Cassios and were given vouchers for free admission to this little museum when we settled the bill. Quite impressed by the quality of the display. Obviously not as good as seeing the real thing but all realistically posed.

Got into town on a rainy day and had some time to kill before we could check into our hotel. Price was $3 per person. Pay and get a token from the hotel front desk and head downstairs through the restaurant. It's a little display of about 100 taxidermied animals from around the region. It doesn't take long, but, if you want a quick, easy indoor activity, this isn't bad.

Plaque identifications were hard to read. Lights were dim. Displays were creative and interesting. One display didnt have lights on. Floor was uneven and not marked or well lit. The displays were in need of cleaning the dust off. We were amazed at all the wildlife in Jasper. Not sure worth $3.00.

we were eating the Italian restaurant upstairs and when finished they offered us free entry, I enjoyed presentation so many animals that unaware of the region but if you don't like stuffed animals this is not for you but was very educational and only small so just 5 to 10 minutes to look at the different displays

We find it difficult to find things to do with a 2.5y & 7m old when we travel, but this one is a winner! It was $6 for our family of 4, and well worth it. Our toddler enjoyed pointing to all the animals and saying their names. It kept his attention for about half hour, which was impressive. We could tell a lot of time was put into the display and enjoyed seeing the variety of animals. Only thing to note, strollers do not fit through the turnstile. Definitely recommend!
