Nothing can beat the majestic views on every hole! I've played Cabot links/cliffs and they are more of a strict golfer's destination. JP plays more like a resort course with slow greens. Thoroughly enjoyable, especially being paired with 2 members who were so helpful. The staff are very competent and friendly. I would come back any time, but don't feel the need to make it a priority compared to Cabot or Bandon Dunes. Walkable course, but we failed to enquire about that and rode.

My wife and I golfed twice in three days, this was our first visit. The course is beautiful and very playable for all skill levels. Service was great. Our complaints were with the number of people who knew nothing about golf etiquette, pace of play or the rules of golf. From people wearing soccer cleats, not fixing ball marks, grounding clubs in traps etc etc. In short all of these things made, what should have been a great experience, very much not enjoyable. I’m not sure what the solution is other than perhaps a brief spiel on basic rules, etiquette and pace of play prior to tee off.

The customer service was really great. There was a mix-up with out tee time and the staff simply accommodated us and said it was not our fault. They "fit us in". Similarly when a lady asked to take a cart down a little path to the road to get her clubs (due to her bad knee). They said not allowed but then said okay we will make an exception. It seemed a very reasonable exception in the circumstances. The entire attitude of the staff seemed to be to make things work rather than mindlessly enforce rules as some places would do. The golf course was great as well as expected.

4 friends golfed the JPL for the first time and were all impressed by the scenery and layout of the course. However, we were not impressed by the conditions and pace of play. There were many dead patches on greens, tees and fairways. We played in late June, so this isn't winterkill. Unfortunately, the greens were also very slow. To top it off, the round was 5.5 hours long. The regular price is not justified given the conditions. Don't get me wrong...the course is beautiful and scenic, but for the posted price, I expected pristine conditions. The employees were all outstanding and the service was great.

This was the first time my husband and I played this course and it was absolutely spectacular. Truly worth every penny - $210 per person, including the cart. Every hole is unique with beautiful views. We often caught ourselves just looking around and taking it all in. It was in great condition and the only sad part was that we didn’t see any wildlife. The Staff was very friendly and next time we will actually stay at the resort - which looked beautiful.
