I joined an 11 PM session at the planetarium, and Tyler led the small group with such enthusiasm and passion for the subject. Aside from sharing stories about the skies and some of his favourite local spots to go stargazing, he took the time to answer all of our questions, which ranged from telescope recommendations to celestial events. Thank you for your care and expertise throughout the session!

The guides were very knowledgeable! We were able to use their telescopes and look at the moon, some stars, and star clusters. It was a wonderful experience. Shane and Ted were great hosts and answered all of our questions, and even gave us some great recommendations on where to go stargazing and where to see the northern lights! Thank you Shane and Ted for a great experience!

Shane, Devin and Georgina were wonderful guides. Looking through the telescopes and learning about constellations/galaxies was awesome. I'd highly recommend it on a trip to Jasper

We had a great time despite the fact that it was pouring cold rain and overcast so we couldn't use the telescope. Although that was obviously a disappointment, the staff went above and beyond to give us a great experience. The inside star show is beautiful and thought-provoking; I appreciated being able to see what Jasper stargazing would have looked like from different locations on a clear night and the show also gave a great perspective into the scale of the universe. That was followed by visits to side tents where we saw rocks from outer space and learned about auroras. The enthusiastic young staff were mostly astrophysics undergrad and grad students, eager to share and answer questions. Got a rain check for the telescope viewing that I hope we can use someday!

It was beautifully presented, very interesting without being too in-depth, but with enough technical information to give a simple explanation. Comfortable seating, it made you feel as though you were outside under the stars!

Shane and Courtney were 2 of our hosts and they were perfectly knowledgeable. Not geeky science, but not a "show" either, and overall very informative.

We visited Jasper Park Lodge over the weekend of April 28-30 2023 and attended the event on the Friday evening. The show in the dome was informative and moved along smartly. The presenter "knew his stuff". The real treat was the telescope event afterwards outside. With a clear sky, minimal wind and pleasant temperatures we had a wonderful evening.
I would especially like to note one of the presenters. Tyler Burghardt made our visit most enjoyable and fun. Such enthusiasm is to be praised and should be shared with as many as possible. I look forward to following Mr. Burghardt on social media in future.
Thanks again.

We had an incredible experience with this tour. The guides were all very friendly and knowledgeable. We unfortunately had cloudy/rainy weather the day of our tour but it was still well worth it! They had a contingency plan in place to ensure we still had a great experience! They also have an awesome rain check policy so we will be able to rebook our telescope portion of the tour for another (hopefully clear) night!

As someone who is not so interested in space, I was not too fussed about the Planetarium in Jasper. It was however, a brilliant experience and I would recommend it to anyone.

The team are all passionate about space and shared lots of information with all of us. They were quick to point out the planets and major constellations we could see (quite clearly) in the night sky.

The dome experience was a great introduction and it blows your mind just how vast space is! It was fascinating to learn about the cultural context of the stars and how various indigenous peoples saw different animals/shapes in the constellations and how the stories they told take shape in the landscapes too.

Great value and worth doing both the planetarium and the telescope combo experience.
