Amazing for what it is
Jul. 2021
As a current physics (and once upon a time astrophysics) major, I appreciated the accuracy of the knowledge and it's definitely something I'd recommend to everyone curious about the skies and for the young ones to encourage their scientific curiosity.

Horrible experience
Jul. 2021 • Family
We visited on July16,2021, it was a horrible experience.
It was not mentioned anywhere that the telescope experience is in open and on the uncovered tennis court and guests should have been warned to bring warm clothing. No provision for sitting and no mention that all the time we will be asked to stand, which is more than 60 minutes, especially for seniors. They should warned before taking our money that these days visibility is very poor due to smoke. They offered to give 2 years rain check which may be good for people visiting with in Alberta but not good for out of province visitors.
For us it was waste of money and time.

Out of this world experience.

Had no real expectations BUT it blew our minds. A terrific learning experience not only of the stars but of the Jasper Park Initiatives to preserve the night sky and the First Nations constellations .
We also went out after midnight to do a more intimate group sky-gazing activity. Absolute marvellous.

Loved this
Jul. 2021
We did the planetarium and telescope show. We were the only ones in attendance so it was a private show for us. We thoroughly enjoyed it. I would highly recommend it. We've visited many other planetariums and this is the first one that incorporated Canadian First Nations constellations. Fabulous. Not to mention the Fairmount Jasper Park Lodge is a stunning place.

Very disappointing
Jun. 2021 • Couples
We drove 10 hours for this specific show after reading many reviews and the description provided. It was very disappointing to say the least. The “planetarium” is a small tent with lawn chairs inside. The whole setup is inside a very dilapidated tennis court. The screen quality/definition is very poor. There were even flies walking across the projector a couple times. The content we found very basic. The presenter himself was well scripted/enthusiastic and did his best with an unengaged audience (5 people). I would not recommend. The drive on the other hand, if passing through Jasper national park, is spectacular so the trip was worthwhile for that part.

Wonderful Show and Presentation.

We loved the show, the presentation was excellent. Unfortunately it was totally clouded over so we were unable to stargaze. We highly recommend the Jasper Planetarium to family and friends.

The Jasper Planetarium experience was awesome! They took the necessary pandemic steps to keep me safe! The presentation included live exception narration/commentary in addition to being interactive! Well done!
