The Norwegian Laft Hus is a replica of an 18th century sod roof Norwegian farm house. It functions as a museum and culture centre that preserves and interprets Norwegian culture. Our museum is home to many Norwegian artifacts, and traditional hand made crafts. Our society also works to preserve the culture by offering a wide variety of classes and workshops to teach the pubic about Norwegian culture, usually by learning a traditional craft. The Norwegian Laft Hus also houses a small store from which you can buy handmade items, imported foods, cookware, and anything you need to show off Norwegian pride!

Worth going too. The house has a sod roof a true Norwegian home. The inside of the house is made out of large cut logs and has the rustic feeling of being in a far away land. When you step into the house one can...More
