Use to go here when I was a kid. It has a huge park with many pits for a BBQ. The walking paths connect to other paths within the city. There is a shallow wading pool to cool off in the summer. Great place for the entire family.

This is a favorite park for my kids when they were small and my grandkids now. They have upgraded the playground equipment and there are bbq pits for picnics and get together...Lots of room to play Frisbee or just run around!

Enjoy the scenery, lovely wild flowers and many trees. Very nice trails to hike or bike on. Get your exercise on the hills, bring your lunch and have a picnic. Nice places for the kids to stop and play.

Kin Kanyon has become a beautiful location for a family picnic. For those who love nature and hiking, this park is part of a wonderful hiking experience starting at Rotary Park, hiking through the woods, over bridges and along the creek past Kin Kanyon Park, under the road tunnel, and through more forest trails to Bower Mall.

We have often enjoyed relaxing in the park while walking. I have many memories of having a picnic with my family here. Piper Creek School no longer exists due to the age of the school. My children now have moved to the newer areas of Red Deer. This area is a natural area where the Piper Creek flows through. Sometimes... More

We have been going to Kin Kanyon since I was a child (many, many decades ago lol) This is a great place for the kids and family to relax, have picnics, play in the water park, play in the trees and take your pet for a walk. Enjoy the wildlife and beautiful scenery in town, you won't even think you... More

This park was better than it is now. There used to be a "rocket ship" bolted to a concrete pad, that children could climb up inside. The rocket is gone now, removed by the city years ago. Red Deer's homeless population also tends to inhabit the park during the summer months, looking to steal/take things that aren't being watched or... More

As far as city parks go, this one holds nothing special for the random visitor. Average at best this park hosts a small playground, a few picnic tables, and a grass area to toss frisbee...

I was amazed when walking through Kin Kanyon just how quiet it is, and you do not even feel like you're in a city. It's a beautiful walk along the paths through the trees. The paths are paved, so it's great for people with bikes and strollers.

We found this park quit by accident and it was a great find! We stopped and ate our lunch at one of the many picnic tables and then went for a lovely walk on the paved trails and the dirt trail through the woods and by the creek. There is a playground and fire pits for your use. There is... More
