The condition of the golf course is good. The layout is tight but with 1 goofy hole (#16) trees in the middle of fairway which unreasonably punish good shots. The golf carts are new and quiet. However the operationaly policy is unacceptable. The cart GPS shows a lot of adverting during play which is distracting and irritating. The policy of "cart path only" delays the game and have absolutely no value for any golfers. The golf course seems not in good relations with any golf industry organizations.

Went for the day with some friends and family and the course was ok. You have to do the 9 holes twice for your 18 which we didn't know.
Also, the beer cart we seen once..... the game was delayed about an hour and the people in front were taking their time which is fine, but knowing how backed up there were, the beer cart should have been around way more. They sure lost lots of money that day.

Julie, we would like to thank you for you feedback as it helps us improve our customer experience. In a typical 18 hole round it is normal to see our beverage cart four times, however, it not uncommon to see the beverage cart less because of things like shift changes and restocking. It is very unusual that the beverage cart only came around to you once. We also usually have golfers play the full 18 holes. The only situation where you would play the same 9 holes twice is when the other 9 holes is busy with a tournament. In which case you would have been notified upon booking as well as upon your arrival. This is a very rare instance for our golf course. Regardless, i would like to apologize for our inability to provide the full 18 holes to you.

We had a tee time booked months in advance thru our hotel in Red deer . Arrived Early to be greeted with 2 tournaments set for the same tee time as us . The club championship and bachelor stag best ball . All started with a shot gun start .We were never advised of this when we booked , when we tried to inquire about all the was going on . We were told what does it matter to you, you still get to golf 18 holes … our starting hole was 4b lol .
As we were no thrilled with attitudes of staff or the situation ,we decided to leave . We requested refund and or documentation of the fact we chose not to golf . The did suggest this when we were not pleased with situation or environment. They would not provide documentation saying we didn’t golf .
I have never seen such an inconsiderate and disrespectful group of employees in one establishment ever. As customers all we can do is choose not waste your time and money at this course when so many better and courtesy course are available.

I asked why you aren't allowed to drive on the fairway with the carte or at leat 90 off to your ball and their response was " that is how we keep such nice fairways". I guess they have never golfed anywhere else. It is a shame to have a nice course that operates this way. I most likely won't return. It really sucks when you are on a cart but you can't get to your ball. Why have GPS ? It's totally useless. When you walk over to your ball from the cart path you tend to find out that you brought the wrong club, so when it is busy on the course you just go ahead and hit the wrong club instead of running back. This is bothersome because you can't get a good score using the wrong club or you just have to take 2 or 3 clubs with you. It is a shame they operate this way

We appreciate your feedback as it helps us better our service. I would like to address your concerns so that this does not mislead other golfers. Our GPS has multiple uses to golfers. For instance, it displays an accurate yardage so that when you leave your cart you know which club to grab. the GPS also shows the layout of the hole, so that golfers can be aware of what lies around the corner on dogleg holes. Our GPS also has an input for golf scores, which can be printed off for you for free in our proshop. Alberta Springs operates with a cart path only rule in order to keep the fairways looking their absolute best. thank you for your feedback.

Live not far from the course and have been to the driving range a few times. Showed up for an evening on the driving range to find that it had closed early. Decided to stay and have dinner there. Both myself and partner ordered the shepherds pie we waited for about 40 minutes for the meal looked and smelt great. Was piping hot on top so went to stir it up to find it was frozen solid on the inside - both dishes were the same. The waitress knew immediately when we took it over that it was frozen and even commented how they never sell many of this dish. For the prices at this course and the quality you expect this does not even come close - don't waste your time eating here. Has put us off supporting this course as they was very little care or apology for the long wait or inedible food.

I golfed here for a charity tournament and I was very impressed. Excellent staff both in the clubhouse and involved in helping run the tournament. The meal served for our group was Alberta beef prime rib (I asked) with baked potato and salad and it was also excellent. The course was very well kept and a nice challenge, I will be coming here again.

While you have to keep the golf carts on the paths at all times, it pays off with the course being in fantastic shape. Staff are first rate and the course has everything you need....pro shop, range, restaurant, bar/snacks and a beverage cart on course.

Decent golf course. Good condition, greens rolled great (but tough to read), fairways, tees and rough were all good. Layout was fair, some open holes but some tight holes. Price was fair. Easy walk. I’d play it again.

Nice layout, well manicured. Friendly Staff. Club house food is not very good. Paid full rate even though half the course closed so had to do 9 twice, not told during booking. Just plain greedy IMO as most courses would discount the round.
The worst though is carts are not allowed off the paths, not even 90 deg rule, and this is all year long. Easy course to walk so save some steps and walk.
